Yeah, sure. I'd quite like to understand this. I'm a very driven person. Maybe being driven is what I enjoy. I'm not sure, though. I feel like I should be pleased. Could be so many things. Right, back to training.

Perhaps what pleases you most is the hard work you employ to get the reward, not the reward itself. That's not necessarily a bad thing, if you constantly have something better to strive for.

I find I'm the exact opposite, myself. I see no point in doing something if there's no end result. Even something like just going for a walk; I have to be going somewhere, I can't just walk for walking's sake.

That's very possible. As soon as I reach a goal, I'm focussed on the next one. It's like this relentless feeling that I have to keep progressing forward, and that eventually, if I keep progressing forward in these different areas in my life, I'll feel content and happy, but either I'm misunderstanding what drives me, or I've got unrealistic expectations of how I should feel once I reach a goal. Or perhaps it's because I know how much I'm capable of why I always feel like I need to reach my full potential.

It's a tricky one. I should be celebrating, but I'm already thinking ahead.

I had sexual tension once.
CVT Temp wrote:I mean, we can actually create a mathematical definition for evolution in terms of the evolutionary algorithm and then write code to deal with abstract instances of evolution, which basically equates to mathematical proof that evolution works. All that remains is to show that biological systems replicate in such a way as to satisfy the minimal criteria required for evolution to apply to them, something which has already been adequately shown time and again. At this point, we've pretty much proven that not only can evolution happen, it pretty much must happen since it's basically impossible to prevent it from happening.
