Every town seems to have one or two really good small business pizza places that just rock. Where I am, it's Pioneer Pizza: A-freaking-mazing.

I've never had Chicago deep dish, but I've salivated while watching the Travel Channel. I think that could be the best thing ever.

my town's pizza place is amazing.

What I will never eat again is pizza hut. its not just that it is disgusting and unhealthy, it literally makes me sick. the two times I ate it (both at two different places halfway across the country), I felt like I was going to vomit, like when I eat Asian food (no offence to asian people, I have nothing against you, it is just that a lot of your food does not agree with my stomach, and makes me feel sick).

I dislike Pizza Hut's crust, its too oily. The toppings are also not the best.

I prefer the Domino model.
As I said, Pizza Hut soaks their crusts in oil, which is probably why it makes me sick.

Giordano's. One of my greatest regrets over leaving Illinois is the difficulty involved in getting quality deep dish. Consequently every time I go back to visit I wind up going there almost every chance I get.

I think I went either there or Gino's when I visited Chicago. either way, it was a deep dish place. personally, I am not a fan of deep dish. too hard to eat, too large, too cheesy, and too much other stuff. I prefer my NYC thin crust pizza, thank you very much. Of course, I do live in the NYC metro (NYC metropolitan Area), so thats not a surprise.

I immigrated to Oregon from Canada. I very quickly learned that if there's one thing America still does tremendously well, it's food. :)

Pizza Hut.

It's the largest pizza chain and the most famous in my country.

The other? Follow behind significantly, and not without struggles.

I am almost certainly biased by childhood experience, but Bob and John's La Hacienda on Hertel Street in Buffalo, NY, USA makes better pizza than any other restaurant I've known since.

And certainly better than Pizza Hut and Dominoes.

Well, there are a lot of Americans on NS...

Even though the best pizza I ever had was at a place on the outskirts of Rome, I still think New York pizza is worth talking about. It is a different style from the pizza in Italy and both are good in their own way. The pizza in Rome was so fucking good, though... Italy is awesome.

There was once this very interesting and different pizza at some little highway drive in up the road from me. It looked and tasted like no pizza I had ever had before, despite the fact it was almost purely a cheese pizza. The entire type of the pizza was coated in this white layer of cheese. It was really delicious, but for some dumb reason, the place stopped selling the pizza. I think they had a change of management, because their prices went up and it seems like their food quality went backwards, because when we tried them recently there was nothing about the amount of food we got, or the taste of it, that was worth the rather steep price we paid for it.

They used to have really good onion rings, too, but I don't remember thinking those were as good, either. Oh well...
