The Arabs did not arrive to Palestine until the Muslim Conquest which brought them through Palestine all the way through North Africa, ending in southern Europe. Arabs are from Arabia, not the Levant, which is where Palestine is located. The term "Palestine" is not even an Arab word. It is Greek, coined by the Romans to denote the region. Never was it used to denote a people. No one had ever referred to themselves as "Palestinian" until 1967 after the Six-Day-War. Before 1967, they were proudly Jordanian, proudly Syrian, proudly Lebanese, and proudly Saudi Arabian. Saudi Arabia refuses to acknowledge the Arabs in Palestine as a legitimate people. They reject the idea of there being a Palestinian people because they do not recognise them as their historical neighbour. Here you have a Hamas member saying that Palestinians are a modern made up people, that "they are just Saudis and Egyptians": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwBSWN4s9JU#t=18

And finally, Lebanese journalist, Joseph Farah, wrote: "The Palestinian people does not exist. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. I was telling that to the guy above me. Because he was using "Gawd" as an excuse. Well I don't like the idea of Ethnic Nationalism, so I don't support the idea of Zionism. However, I prefer Israel existence to Palestine, because I see the Israelis as the lesser of the evils. Seeing as Israel has a better standard of living than than it's Muslim neighbors, and is less barbaric to it's own people and less Religiously extreme than them. I'm more inclined to support it's existence due to the results of it's governing.

Just as bad? Israel has the highest standard of living in the Middle East, that's not "just as bad". Racist? Really? The guy who opposes Ethnic Nationalism, is racist apparently. What I meant was, given the choice between Israel and Palestine, I would pick Israel. However, I personally don't like the idea of Ethnic Nationalism, and would prefer if a sort of co-existence, if gradual development of a one state solution between the two sides could be found.

The Palestinian standard of life is so low because they are trapped in their homes and bombed all day. Some women can go outside without being assaulted by either Isrealite Soldiers or Jewish kids throwing rocks!

I never said Israel was perfect. But it's a lot better compared to the rest of the Middle East.

Well I'd pick Israel over almost every nation in the Middle East, or North Korea.
I don't support Israel, I technically don't have a side I wholly favor in this.
But if I had to pick the Arab World or Israel, I'd pick Israel, because at least it doesn't treat it's people like crap or enforce Theocratic laws.

Israel has gone through many wars and it has its own side of the story. That I reocgnize although despite being a little bit of an Israeli supporter, they have committed war crimes against the Palestine and they block of roads going into Palestine and they have hurt the fragile Palestinian economy.

' The following war in 2008-2009 destroyed all economic infrastructure, leaving the Palestinian economy without any remaining activity and owing $1.4 billion.[72]"

"By 2008, 71% of the Gaza Strip's population was unemployed.[72] The import and export prosperity in Palestine was impacted by the border restrictions and constant Israeli control in the West Bank and Gaza, which also weakened the industrial and agricultural sectors.[73]"

"In order for the Palestinian economy to be prosperous, the restrictions on Palestinian land must be removed.[15] In the West Bank, the Israeli restrictions caused the Palestinian economy to lose $3.4bn (%35 of the annual GDP), according to The Guardian and a report for World Bank.[74]"

I realize Israel isn't itself innocent in this, hence I have no side I wholly favor. But if one were to make me pick between the Arab World or Israel, I would choose Israel.

If zionists had found a place in the world that was not already inhabited by other people, then perhaps it could have worked without the negative consequences.

Zionism doesn't say the Jewish state has to be in an already inhabited place, but the only uninhabited place is Antarctica.

Plenty of unihabited deserts. The oceans and even the other celestial bodies in our solar system also have lots of room.
All however would be hideously expensive to make suitable for people to live. But perhaps humanity should start doing that anyway.

I think being against Zionism is closeted anti-Semitism at this point. It's siding with Hamas and Hezbollah who want to complete the job of the pogroms and those Germans we shall not speak of. The only place for the Jewish people that isn't occupied is a continent of ice and snow and to be fair, unfit for human population beyond the occasional scientific expedition.

Oh, darn. They caught us. The fact that I don't think that Jews should be able to steal peoples land and oppress them must mean that I'm a holocaust denying anti-semite.

So because the Jewish people were there before the Arab conquest the land belongs to them? No, that's not how it works. By that logic we should kick the English out of Great Britain because it belonged to the Celts first until the Anlo-Saxons sailed over and conquered it. And there are numerous examples of this taking place throughout history. You can't just say 'these people lived here centuries ago before being conquered and forced out by another people, therefore we should give them the land despite the fact that there are people living there now'.

The problem is where do you put the Jews as to let them not be attacked by anti-Semites? Laws against hate crimes aren't enough of a carrot to slay the anti-Semite who is told the Jew is the reason they're poor (bankers have historically been Jewish) or that the Jew is what killed Jesus.

Because it's a nationalistic movement that allows Israel to take over land where people don't identify themselves as Jewish or Israelite, which can cause serious tensions.

Fun fact: Jesus was a practising Jew all his life. Christianity is/was a Jewish cult. The solution is not to hide the Jews away the solution is education.
