Please, tell me about this significant historical event of people being shot out of cannons into the Sun. We need to know this hidden part of history.

He only respects the strong, and preys on the weak.
He might act polite and smile all the time, but always remember...
The day will come when you'll wake up to find him looming over your bed,
knife in hand, and he'll still be smiling.

Hyperbole (/haɪˈpɜrbəliː/ hy-pur-bə-lee; Greek: ὑπερβολή hyperbolē, "exaggeration") is the use of exaggeration as a rhetorical device or figure of speech. It may be used to evoke strong feelings or to create a strong impression, but is not meant to be taken literally.
Hyperboles are exaggerations to create emphasis or effect. As a literary device, hyperbole is often used in poetry, and is frequently encountered in casual speech. An example of hyperbole is: "The bag weighed a ton." Hyperbole makes the point that the bag was very heavy, though it probably does not weigh a ton.
In rhetoric, some opposites of hyperbole are meiosis, litotes, understatement, lackluster, prosaic, dull and bathos (the 'letdown' after a hyperbole in a phrase).

Hmm, I really don't know Uganda reasons behind it. Or maybe its the ideal that gay is western, although gays have existed since the beginning of written history. Like I said, I have no idea.

And just because some LBGTI activist there disapproves of the tactic, doesn't mean he's right.
Money talks. And is very persuasive.
Just ask the evangelicals...
Truthfully, I personally don't care what Uganda is doing. Uganda isn't my country, United States is. So I prefer for United States to remain out of it and let Uganda's African brothers deal with the problem.

Refusing to give Uganda money is not involvement. It's reducing involvement to get Uganda to agree to increase involvement.

Does "the problem" the US should remain out of include poverty, infectious disease and limited access to education? Or is it only human rights issues the US should stay out of?
I don't think the AU can step up to replace American aid. AU nation rulers would have to implement harsh austerity on their arms purchases or something, just to find the money.

Northdeigo wrote:Its alright for us to send those things, being a friendly nation, but for us to get involved politically, by doing something that would possibly kill more people than Uganda is arresting, it would make us look like the bad nation. Also remember, Africa is politically unstable, so any wrong move and you could quite possible set off yet another civil war.
