@Blazetown - Concerning your improper above comment >:( , Why should I be ashamed of my nation. At least we never invaded anyone. Toma!

At this point at least 7 have answered Yes. I did not expect this many. Lirena from Argentina says they close down in Argentina today which means this must be more common in Latin America and maybe the Philippines.

Oh, the guys who think their too cool for the US of A. >:( . You should be ashamed. Just messing with you. The only Puerto Rican I know said he didn't enjoy his time there (He lived in the US most of his life and randomly moved back, thats probably why). He failed on account of not speaking english and being too poor to go to an english school and getting a scar from a bat bite when he was trying to get it out of his garage.

Jesus.
Your nation is like a son. What it does right is your merit, as well as what it does wrong is your fault. When you praise it, be lucid and avoid exaggeration. Praising it too much can make it indolent. On the other hand, when you criticize it, be harsh, but do not ridicule it. Do your best to improve it, not through derision or disdain, but through good examples and dedication.

Jesus.

That a pun because this is a Christian holiday thread. If not, yeah, it was serious and he had to get a rabies shot. Then after a year their he came back, but he must've been in a rough neighborhood because he seemed to have some mental scars too. And to make things worse his parents divorced a little afterwards and he was treated with prejudice by the new principal. All while the almost Utopian community he left was beginning to see the Baltimore poor move in thanks to the Subsidized housing act allowing for it to be in our once lovely city.

EDIT: Not going any further to avoid a threadjack.

Just another bank holiday, so most things just slow down a little.

The road and rail networks slow down a lot.
The above post may or may not be serious.

Some of them do, some of them don't.

Insofar as I can tell, they delight in opening when people who would need the bank would otherwise be at work.

It must please them so.

In Brazil most people - even atheists and agnostics - use it as a holiday from Thursday on.
