You only have thy "own property" because the state permits it.

Actually, you'd still need a police and a military. Unless you think your shotgun is enough to keep out the Chinese.

But that's how it works in Fallout! :p

And if that were true, Congress would have never had to create the FDA in the first place.

There wasn't mass communication on the scale of today when the FDa was created.

Post hoc ergo propter hoc.

Logical fallacies are disbarred from mic-dropping point-making as per Robert's Rules of Order.

So I am the property of the state who lives by its graces?

No, because you are still part of the society. You'd have to move.

And the social contract is only a joke to people who have no understanding of how contracts work and are anti-capitalistic.

The social contract is an absolute joke.

No, the only joke are people who seem to think they're an island that can live independently from the rest of society.

So... your system is utterly dependent on advanced technology that has existed for ~30 years? And said technology was developed in part by governments themselves? And now currently relies on said governments to make it work by, for instance, common-carrier regulation of telecomms? Really?

Really?

It's 3am, and you wake up to find 80 acres of your land on fire, and your car has been stolen. How do you fix this?

Why the land is mine?

What you are arguing is in essence that all land in earth is controlled by whichever governments army not recently conquered it and we only own property because government allows us to.

And no contract is binding which is not signed. Not which is signed under threat of violence.

Because China is going to send an entire army to take 290 acres in Iowa, that's so likely.

(1) And under the jurisdiction of the US. Removing it from such jurisdiction is an act of force.
(2) False
(3) The social contract is only violent where there is no ability to leave the civilization you are in, such as North Korea. In North Korea, it's invalid. In the US it is not.

Oh, for Pete's sake... It was bad enough when you just invoking free-market fairies, but now you have to go all ITG on us. Please, admit that you're not Superman, that reasonably large groups can and do overwhelm even heavily armed people (see, for example the current struggles between drug-runners and "self-defense groups" in Mexico -- and in the past, other parts of Latin America -- and the Italian Mafia and all sorts of people in Italy) before you lose the last, tiny shred of credibility you have.

Actually, yes. Those 290 acres would serve as a bridgehead for the invasion of the rest of the country.

We purchased it from reletives. Who says we don't? We work to maintain it and all surrounding property owners agree to our boundary.

And he is exploiting our need for money. It's a mutually benificial agreement.

Congratulations! Your loss of crops has left you bankrupt, and it turns out your friend is the one who stole your car in the first place, and it's now in pieces in some factory in Taiwan! You lose the Internet Tough Guy Survival Game!
