Is Europe Anti-Semitic and/or Anti-Islamic?

I think that Europe is both anti-Semitic and anti-Islamic. Scandinavia seems like the most "friendly" place in Europe towards foreigners. I have dual citizenship with Sweden and everyone there is nice and tolerant. UK, Southern Europe and Eastern Europe seem the most racist in my opinion due to modern white nationalism and an attitude that screams, "STOP WHITE GENOCIDE!!111"

So NSG, what do you think?

Not everyone in Europe is racist, anti-Islamic or anti-Semitic. I'm pretty sure it's a small, but vocal, minority.

As a whole, no.

There are fringe groups, and they sometimes have frightning amounts of power (look at the PVV in the Netherlands), but as a whole Europe is neither vehemetly anti-Semetic or anti-Islamic, this does not mean we ought to tolerate extremism (from the religions in question nor political groups massing against them), nor should we not educate people about the dangers of both ideologies.

As a rule, the more bigoted, right wing and generally insane a group is the more they are talked about in the media. This naturally tends to effect the perception of western society.

A large number of Europeans are anti-Islamic but I doubt more than half the total population is. Even less so for the anti-Semetic portion. Though this is a prime example of why the EU needs to disband all religious parties, starting with the CDU, CSU, and Golden Dawn. Just for shits and giggles.

From what I've seen on Nationstates, there is at least a good vocal minority of anti-Islamism in Europe.

Well the BNP are a ridiculously small party - a party with 1 MEP and 2 Councillors isn't noteworthy. What is noteworthy is how much of a flash in a pan the BNP was and how there membership has collapsed. The largest racist group active in the UK is the EDL which has about 25,000 members - while this is more of a problem its also fringe considering we have a population of 63 million.

Europe is a place with about 740 million people in 50 different countries. I don't believe we're anywhere near homogeneous enough to say either way on either question.

As a whole no, but there are some countries in West Europe who have a lot of people against Islam. I know there is rising islamaphobia in counties like Netherlands, France and even Germany.
