The current report says 4 dead and eight injured. I've heard conflicting reports about the number of shooters ranging from 1-3, but everywhere I've looked agrees that they've barricaded themselves in a room.

Thoughts? Does it seem to anyone else that we've had more high profile shootings recently? It's probably just hindsight bias, but with Fort Hood, Sandy Hook, Aurora, Trayvon Martin, the Boston bombers, and now this I think I might be right.

ABC is reporting 10 wounded, 4 dead, but it's obviously a fluid situation. There are also conflicting reports as to whether the shooter has been neutralized or not.

Of course, I've seen the number of shooters exaggerated in nearly every initial report of every mass shooting since Columbine, so I don't know for sure, but it's interesting that the police seem to think so.

Waaaaaay too early to speculate. Could be Muslims, could be right wingers, could be some sort of grown-up Columbine thing. No way to tell for sure right now. We'll probably have at least a rough idea later today.

BBC24 has quoted, to date, one gunman confirmed killed, "two gunmen down" (possibly including the gunman dead), 8 civilians wounded and at least ten wounded overall.

Descriptions of at least one shooter state all black (possibly blue) gear, carrying a rifle that "sounded like a pop gun, not a real gun".
Which, to me, implies a suppressed rifle.
Not especially easy to get a hold of.
