Fools.

Worse than fools, we knew all the time what we were supporting.

I'm ready. As long as I'm right, why should I let supernatural threats deter me?

Now zombies are rising up against Assad. Daaaaamn.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.

I think that its because its such a regular occurrence over there.

I think Joker said it best (in the Dark Knight Rises) when he said: “If, tomorrow, I tell the press that, like, a gang banger will get shot, or a truckload of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics, because it’s all ‘part of the plan’. But when I say that one little old mayor will die, well then everyone loses their minds!”

Edit: Kinda like how our Boston Bombing is a regular day over in Afghanistan...

One nation in the mideast is known to possess sarin; Israel. No other dupply connection can be proved.
The so called rebels are largely Al Qaeda, and we have known it for a long time. Yet they bear arms of Saudi and Israeli manufacture.
Pressure is great to draw the US into further involvement; why? To create another Libya? Can't we learn from even our most recent mistakes deliberately wrongheaded policies?

Jews are great, they helped created Western civilization. Tel Aviv is horrid. Abraham Heschel and I are not antisemitic because we oppose Zionism.

It's pretty well established that Assad has nerve gas reserves. Hell, there's quite a bit of evidence that it's been used.

It wouldn't be the first time the city of Boston exaggerates the importance of a tragedy.

Remember the Boston "Massacre" where 5 people died? Same kind of sensationalism.

This isn't to say what happened there wasn't horrible and sad for the people involved, it certainly was/is, but a little perspective would still be nice.

Talking about what Dzhokar ate for breakfast two weeks later is kind of silly.
The Boston Marathon bombings were not a repeat of 9/11 as much as the media wanted it to be.

Israel is Syria's heavily armed neighbor with a history of mutual violence and distrust. While it may not be correct this time, suspecting Israel is not antisemitism. Now I haven't checked that poster's history, so maybe they are an extreme hater of Jews overall instead of Israel, in which case this post is unnecessary.
But if that isn't the situation, let's please drop the antisemitism garbage. Syria isn't half a world away with tinfoil hatters worrying about Jews putting fluoride in the drinking water, it's a country that has recently been openly attacked by the IDF.

Hopefully this makes the western world more leery of supporting the rebels.

I mean it's a stupid ass reason to not support the FSA mind you and there are plenty of legitimate ones, but frankly at this point whatever works works.

Did I say that we should support Assad? Fact of the matter is that I'd rather not support Hezbollah or Al-Qaeda, and without accurate on the ground intelligence that's essentially where our support would be going.

Apparently saying "US should stay the fuck out of the Middle East" now makes you an Assad "supporter". Don't worry, you'll get used to it. I've been "supporting" dictators since 2003, apparently, because I thought that invading countries on poor intelligence reports was a bad thing, and that we shouldn't act like this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RcI09Uphcs
