Doesn't really matter if you believe in it or not, it's still a fact.

You must be kidding.

I understand that, but me as an individual and my family don't believe in evolution.

Can you link me to any studies based around it? There's a surprisingly broad range of misinformation about this type of experiment.

Amusingly, it apparently makes him a heretic according to Catholic law.

Oh God, not this one AGAIN! Evolution happens. Even the CATHOLIC CHURCH believes it happens. It's a question of whether you believe God to be a limited and small-minded idiot (creationism) or believe that he's an intelligent being beyond our comprehension (Evolution) It has nothing to do with belief or the lack of belief.

Then why bring up the fact you're a Roman Catholic? But by all means, deny evidence. You just get no more vaccines.

"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

Yes. Many times. It's sometimes an extremely serious problem.

To expand on this: Ever notice how bacteria can become immune to a drug? This is because all of the bacteria that weren't immune were killed, leaving only those with the immunity to pass on their genes. That one mutation saved their cell line - and prolonged your strep throat. Evolution at one of it's tiniest scales!

How do you imagine that antibiotic resistance develops?
I understand the hypothesis about this question, although I'm unable to find any straight-up scientific study featuring this experiment.

No, I don't "believe" in evolution... because there is nothing to believe in a proven scientific theory.

No, I believe that God put piles and pile of indisputable scientific evidence out there showing the earth to be round, the earth to revolve around the sun and evolution to occur as a way of testing our faith.

I believe it is the most plausible origin of species and lean more towards it than other theories. However I am willing to change my mind in the unlikely event that enough evidence appears suggesting another theory being more correct.

This is news to me, explain please.

As per the OP: I thought it was the scientifically accepted theory of how life came to be as it currently is. As someone else stated, it is the best explanation that we currently have.

I am also a Christian, and I believe in evolution. I see no reason that anyone should not believe in evolution; the main debate in my eyes is how it happens, and especially how life began.

It's not a question of whether one "believes" the Theory of Evolution or not, it's a matter of whether one accepts the Theory of Evolution or not. Belief implies room for doubt. Evolution is scientific fact. Not everything is known about it, of course, but that doesn't mean it's any less true.
