There is an incoming hurricane that already hit the Bahamas and Cuba, and it will come for New York, Eastern Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut, Ontario, and New Jersey!

I'm really worried about this, because I live in Perry, New York, which is located below Rochester, and East of Buffalo.

Is it just me, or do the storm paths seem to be getting weirder?

We got the tail of the hurricane and the power went out...

Then again, this place has shitty power grid.

Down here in Louisiana, we be enjoying some nice, cool weather 8)

No more hurricanes for us anytime soon, hopefully.

Ba dum tish

But dang, that's a weird path. I would have thought it would have died out past the Carolinas, what with hurricanes dependent on warm ocean water and all.

When you are old like him and I, sometimes you lose track of how things change.

It took me over 200 years to notice that Assyria was gone. Of course, I never liked the place.

Neither am I. By the time it reaches where I live (south-central Ney York), it'd loose enough power to make it no different than any regular severe storm (which, I must mention, have been rather sparse this year).

Headin' straight for the capitol... for all we know this is some secret Iranian plot to murder the president by signing a deal with the Aliens in the bermuda triangle to redirect the storm... thus causing Israel a necessary reason to attack Iran and start ww3

Expecting Sandy to roll by on Monday here on Long Guy Land (as the "natives" call it)
I live on a hill, so no flooding for me. But I'm near the coast, so RAIN RAIN RAIN!

I know right, As of this post, The Bahamas and the south part of North Carlonia are under a Tropical Storm Warning, and the north of South Carloina and Bermuda are under a Tropical Storm Watch.

Weather Channel says that your perpetuation's should be completed by Monday at the latest.

I was going to point out that they seem to be choosing the least menacing possible names for hurricanes often.

Also, yeah, that's a really fucking weird storm path. I mean seriously, what?

At least I'm on the West Coast.

I have been in two huge hurricanes with 135 mph+ winds. They were terrifying! But, I am scared for this too, because I am in it's projected path. The reason why these storms are moving northward is because of climate change.

As the ice caps melt, they release CO2 into the air which had been stored in the since the ice age. So, as they melt; the water south of them will get hotter. This is what is happening, and it will continue for the foreseeable future. You know, New York City has been due for a hurricane for years. I guess it is happening. Bloomberg said that they might have to evacuate Lower Manhattan.

I moved up here because of the hurricanes in the Caribbean and Florida. Although I am leaving here in a few weeks to go back there, now there is no reason to stay up here for me. No advantage for me here. If I have to live somewhere where they have hurricanes, I'd much rather it be Florida than the Northeast.

Besides, in Florida, when they have hurricanes, I can just go to California.

Apparently, it's also gonna hit Vermont. Us Recruits and Cadets at Norwich University are receiving warnings about the Hurricane, since we had to help clean up after Irene. Guard's already on alert.

Well, you kinda already had your share, you should be secure for another couple years :)

Good luck to those on the path of Sandy though, we'll pray for you.

I'm excited for the "frankenstorm", which is what it is being called. Because its a snow storm and thunderstorm and a hurricane at the same time.
