Hurrah for bullying, or maybe not.

It isn't bullying, no. And actually, if its actually hurting you in a way to constitute bullying, you're proving everyone's point.
How's the view from the corner you've pushed yourself into, by the way?

So you have no actual point, then? Boy, I sure am surprised.

At the dawn of time, there were no atoms, much less planets, much less people. Thus, there was no bullying.

you are making a good point, but the pedant in me is dying to point out that without atoms you can't really have any meaningful sense of time, since time is just change occuring to matter.
I suppose you could have time with the component parts of atoms existing, but no atoms...
So a clarification, not a correction

The thread's premise is tedious, so I haven't been following along, but I'll jump in here because of a pet peeve:
Some people seem to use the word "opinion" in the same way that kids use 'force shield' when playing pretend shoot 'em up.
"We should round up all [minority/type of person I don't like/people of a persuasion I don't like] and fence them in a field and let them starve to death."
Dude, that's awful and you're kind of a horrible person.
"But it's just my opinion!"
Oh, well...he invoked 'opinion' fellas, pack it up. I mean, if it wasn't an opinion we could address it on its merits, examine its foundational premises and potential outcomes, evaluate the effectiveness of its goals and in fact the value of those goals in the context of the world we live in etc...but, he said 'opinion' and as we all know opinions are sacred objects that must be treated with complete reverence and handled with the most delicate of touches lest the opinion might be exposed to the light of scrutiny.
(I'm not saying that you want to round people up, but that is an opinion. Not mine, the imaginary person we're talking about)
This is ridiculous. Not all opinions are the same. I mean, down to "orange is an ugly color" is not the same kind of opinion as "we need to round up people x".
Where did we get this idea that opinions are sacred? Opinions are the least sacred thing there is, they should be brought out and fed to the dogs, defended and argued and chewed on, beaten and explored until the only thing left is the idea that stood up to all of that and survived.

And that's your opinion. The great thing about America is that we have the freedom to have an opinion on our political views, religion, economics, and countless others, in my opinion.
