So, seeing someone post a tattoo in http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=170830&start=7400, I decided to make a dedicated tattoo thread. I'll go first:

About eight years ago, I got a temporary tattoo of a dinosaur. It was pretty cool.

But it's gone now...

...I never thought anyone really got tattoos like that. But I was wrong. And I, a dedicated 40k fan, salute you, good sir.

I can remember one day when I see a grenade on my arm in fifth grade. Boy, was the rage from my parents not lulzy.

Don't take anything I say in an RP into an OOC context. EVAR.

I'm too young to get tattooed yet (about a year to be precise) but I'm planning on getting several.
The Chikara symbol, the Einstürzende Neubauten logo and an ankh are some ideas that I have in mind so far.

I would like to get this tattooed down my arm, starting at my elbow, going to my wrist (the "underside" of my arm). I have the money, but I don't have permission, so I have another year to wait.

One of these days I'm going to go full geek and get a Decepticon Seal on each arm (positioned on the upper arm like military insignia). I tested the idea with rub-on temp tattoos last year and it was great.

Colors like in the flag, sans the black. I don't have the money now, but one of these days...

I've been considering getting this done for around a year and a half now, I'm putting off my final descion until I get my exam results-if I get in for neuroscience it's going on.

I'm thinking wrist for placement and then maybe getting a dopamine on the other.

Admitidly if I miss the grades I'm going to get a double helix behind my ear instead as I'll be doing genetics but hopefully that wont happen.

Both my tats are closely tied to "graduations" and my progress through my scientific career, so obviously I'm horribly biased here, but I think it's a good idea to get tattoos that mark important stages in your life because you're a lot less likely to ever regret carrying these reminders.
