One man is dead and another hospitalized after a bizarre assault off Miami's MacArthur Causeway reportedly forced a police officer to open fire.
City of Miami police say the incident began Saturday afternoon about 2 p.m. when an officer responded to reports of 2 men fighting in the bike path of the Biscayne Boulevard exit ramp, alongside the Miami Herald's parking garage. There, according to the Herald, the officer observed a naked man eating another man's face:
The officer...approached and saw that the naked man was actually chewing the other man's head, according to witnesses. The officer ordered the naked man to back away, and when he continued the assault, the officer shot him.
The attacker continued to eat the man, despite being shot, forcing the officer to continue firing. Witnesses said they heard at least a half dozen shots.
According to CBS Miami, police sources said the victim had "virtually no face" and was unrecognizable.
"[Officers] attempted to separate them, there was some sort of confrontation," Miami Police spokesman Willie Moreno told Local10.
Photographs taken from the Herald's garage show the naked man lying dead at the scene. Police said the second male was transported to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Officials have yet to identify the officer involved, the deceased, or the victim.
The zombie apocalypse has started in Florida. I suggest that any generalites in Florida start preparing their Z-day plan, I know I am. Unless this was just a case of somebody tripping out on PCP, which is most likely, but the similarities to the coming zombie apocalypse are a bit worrying. NSG, what are your Z-day plans? Do you think you'll survive? I'm pretty sure I would last until winter, then maybe 50/50.

I wouldn't get far. My location and my supplies are just sad... My chances would probably increase if I somehow got a gun, but there's probably none here, nor in a 1 km radius of my house, so unless there's some cop that dies in front of my house, there's little to no chance I make it through Month 1.

'Vampire' Josephine Smith Josephine Smith is seen in this booking photo from the Pinellas County Jail. Smith was arrested after allegedly attacking and biting a piece of skin off a homeless man in St. Petersburg after proclaiming "I am a vampire, I am going to eat you".

My plans? at my house we have two air pistols, I'd take those, and also attempt to steal my neighbor's larger gun. I'd also take the chlorine and alcohol at my house because with those i could make Soda Bombs. 400 metres from my house there is an elevated movie theatre, the only way of getting up there is the elevator or up the concrete wall. the place has enough food supplies for a year or 2 (to 1 person), and there's a whole bunch of games and movies. If i run out of food, there's a supermarket 100 metres away from the theatre, another 200 metres away, and another 300 metres away.

I would be far more willing to joke around if I hadn't watched so damn many zombie movies, and if I knew my girl had caught her flight.
As it is, I am forced to assume the worse, and have already looted my neighbors kitchen.
