Yep, it turns out that Obama never went on the spending spree the Conservatives call him out for, seriously even Herbert Hoover increased spending more than Obama. This is just another case of the media blowing things out of proportion and bending facts, the fact that no major news source reported on this until now shows that the mainstream media in America cannot be trusted and should be met with severe scrutiny. I agree there's better presidential candidates than Obama but the GOP candidates are not better choices than Obama.

Also, this article just confirms what we all should know, Reagan spent a shit-ton of money and contributed to America's debt because he was in a dick waving contest with the Ruskies.

but its sad that we so try to block out our memory of the bush administration that we think that obama passed TARP and the auto bailout money in addition to the stimulus.

You can thank Georgie for that, as the article has proven federal spending has remained consistent ever since Obama's first year in office when he inherited the debt crisis.

He hasn't reversed it. That's the problem.

You can't cut massive amounts of federal spending in a down economy, that would cause the economy to just slow down more, even Romney acknowledges this.

With tax cuts? I don't think so.

Tax increases are necessary, you don't cut taxes in a down economy or when your raising the budget like Bush did when he went to war.

Because that worked so well for Europe.
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

Of course the opposition would lie about their enemy, which is what Republicans did with Obama.

It used to be. It isn't anymore, due to the massive expansion of private debt since the 1970s. The money that people save in tax cuts will go towards servicing their debts, not consumption, resulting in little change in aggregate demand.

Presidents Bush (43) and Obama had two common problems, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. Sadly, right or wrong, the man in the President's office gets the credit and the blame.

There's really only one GOP candidate, baring an extreme turn of events. Is Obama better than Romney? America may be uncertain, but the current President's record of failure, wasting all that time on Healthcare when America was hungry for economic turnaround, gives me reason that they'll be looking for "new blood".

Pussies don't like dicks, because pussies get fucked by dicks. But dicks also fuck assholes: assholes that just want to shit on everything. Pussies may think they can deal with assholes their way. But the only thing that can fuck an asshole is a dick, with some balls. The problem with dicks is: they fuck too much or fuck when it isn't appropriate - and it takes a pussy to show them that. But sometimes, pussies can be so full of shit that they become assholes themselves... because pussies are an inch and half away from ass holes. I don't know much about this crazy, crazy world, but I do know this: If you don't let us fuck this asshole, we're going to have our dicks and pussies all covered in shit!

Are you seriously saying that Bush only ran huge deficits because of the two years the Dems were in control of congress during his tenure.

What do you mean? It's obvious that no true Republican would promise large tax cuts without corresponding massive spending cuts...

Just like how Jar-Jar kept the war expenses off the budget. Obama put them back on, so he's officially the one to blame for them!

Doesn't help that the Cons took over the House and just want Obama to fail so a Republican would win the next election.

That doesn't happen until after the next election, and extraordinary measures will prevent them from having to make a deal until after new congress is sworn in.
