Ridiculous School Rules

As a sophomore in high school, obviously I think quite a few rules are unnecessary. But this time, they just went too far. Now to leave the classroom for any reason, a student must have a signed pass. This really gets to me during my last class of the day, which is literally right across the hall from bathrooms, water fountains, and my locker. Students here usually just complain, but they might actually do something about this. Thoughts?

The public school system is severely flawed, if you believe its goal to be to educate the children. The real lessons learned in school is that strict rules and mandatory attendance policies force you to learn what others want you to learn, even if said material is not necessarily what is in your best interest to learn. Adults have certain rights when dealing with law enforcement personnel, in the classroom students seem to have no such rights when dealing with school personnel. I think the reason for the lack of students rights is because younger children do not have the capability of lobbying for change. The best illustration of this is that the quality of school lunches correlates with the age and grade of the children. Clearly as students get older, the lunches tend to become higher and higher quality. This is because older students begin to have the capability to protest the lower quality lunches.

That's probably because students are dicks who'll use an excuse to leave class as an excuse to do drugs, abandon the class, break rules somewhere private or any multitude of things. Oh no, you need teacher permission to leave their room and abandon the learning environment...?

What they should do is build classrooms outdoors so no-one wants to leave and freeze, it works much better.

I think the fact that im not allowed to be seen hugging, holding hands with, or kissing my girl cause she "To young for me" acording to the school. Shes 15 tommarow im 16 -_-

They ignored it for a while, until the higher ups shoved it down their throats. They run the risk of being written up for letting us walk 10 feet outside the room.

No I'll tell you a stupid school rule, no leaving the campus at all for anything and coming back, not even off campus lunch, a family emergency that lasts through lunch, a doctors appointment, nothing. Theres also my school rule that everyone has to have their LEARNER PLEDGE on them at all times, you don't you get to stay at the scholl till 8 PM and get there at 4 AM .

My old middle school declared high fives as PDA and punishable by detention.
You could also not fight back if attacked.
