Anyway, things are going well and you are getting along, but then they start talking about bloodlines and such, and you realize they are racist. They are not violent, just very prejudiced.

Would you continue the relationship anyway?

This is based on recent experience where I met a guy I really like, but we have some political differences and he has some surprisingly racist attitudes. The racism is definitely a turn-off.

I did that for a bit. It would be like this really racist statement and I'd call her out on it and she'd give the, "I'm not really a racist," line. It kept happening, though and I was a little slow to take it seriously. It was a good thing to have ended it. She also wasn't the sharpest lightbulb in the crayon box. Racists seldom are.

I don't find racists attractive, therefore this hypothetical woman would not be racist in the first place. Personality is, to me, a far more important factor in my relationships then physical attractiveness.

Depends how bad it is. If it's "I think the darkies just aren't as good as my family", then I could probably deal with that. If it was more "I think the darkies should serve my family", then I'd probably yell a bit at them and then walk away. No point contaminating my superior bloodline with that nonsense.

I'm not a racist, not by any stretch of the imagination ( I do draw the line, though, by refusing to apologize for crimes against your race I did not personally commit. I'm more then just a Caucasian). Alot of it would have to do with their upbringing; if their parent's taught them that way, well, that doesn't really reflect on their character; they got it beat into their head in impressionable youth. If their family or community at large wasn't racist though, that means they got it themselves by their own merits. BIG turn off. In the earlier case, try to make things work (if we agree on other things; a little conflict never hurt), maybe convince them otherwise. If the later, cut it off.
