Ukraine in the pot of teams who solely have one good player and Poland in the pot of teams who I frankly don't care much about.

Also, please, be careful. Corinthians could be the Libertadores' Champion. If that happen, without cheating from said team, the Apocalipse will happen. I mean it.

All teams are seeded by their ability. For example, Spain an Germany are top seeds. Top seeded teams don't get put in the same group and low team seeds don't either. This is a good thing as it means that all the good teams don't knock each other out of the competition straight away. Imagine if Spain,Germany,Italy and Portugal were in the same group and Ireland,Ukraine,Poland and Denmark were in the same group. You'd have brilliant teams getting knocked out early while the weaker nations would stay in the tournament.
They aren't. Spain was pot one, Germany was pot two.

Not that rankings are accurate measures of a team's ability, etc, but I'm curious to see how far the Dutch will fall.

Not that far I think. Unless they keep the coach. Some things need to be figured out, but I think we can qualify against Turkey, Hungary, Romania, Estonia and Andorra for 2014. Though... except for Andorra, all those teams can be surprising. Estonia managed to get to the playoffs for EURO 2012 qualification after all.

Yeah that is a bit of a gift of a group. Estonia did get to the playoffs, but they went 5-1-4 in their group, and amazingly lost to the Faroe Islands.

I find this hilarious:

Saturday - Dizzee Rascal releases updates the 2010 song Shout For England (which he appears on) for Euro 2012.
Sunday - England get knocked out of Euro 2012. Song fails to make the Top 40; I doubt that will change.
Please note: Central Lothian is the direct successor to Mid Lothian*. As a result, I am still called Rebecca, I am still a Grammar Nazi and most information pertaining to ML also applies to CL (although I will be taking this time to change a few things).

* - And I may refer to the country as Mid Lothian. If I do, assume that I mean Central Lothian. (And not to be confused with "Midlothian" - I'm using that as a fascist version of CL.)

Not even England expected England to win.
we, unlike the bourgeoisie, have nothing to lose and therefore our expression will be the only honest one, our words will be the only challenging ones and our art will be the one revolutionary expression. Piotr Nowak sacked by Philadelphia. Bad situation all around, but the blame doesn't fall solely on him in this case. Some strange decisions - like selling Sebastien Le Toux - but otherwise competent, just troubled with injuries and inconsistent players. Let's not forget that Philadelphia Union is only a two year old club. Growing pains are to be expected for the next few years.

Even though he spent most of his career in Poland he's a living legend for the Chicago Fire. Wish him only the best. I hope he can get a decent managerial gig again in the near future.

FIFA usually puts hosts as group seeds, which aren't part of the draw. They're picked and assigned to groups before the draw.

Just wondering people thoughts on this article:

To be honest, IF that was the US National team.. either one of two things would happen: #1- The US would dominate football like never before or #2 Ron Artest would choke out about 75% of the Europeans.

(IMO as an American) we'd would have won 2 world cups by now and basketball and football would weaken...
