Abortion: No opinion personally. Biologically, the effects of abortion are unclear. Until such time as there is more information, it should be a local issue, to be outlawed or legalized by elected councils on a small scale.
Affirmative Action: It seems unnecessary.
Arms Trade: It's a business like any other. Regulation is in order, as it is over all such businesses.
Death Penalty: Should be reserved for the most severe cases, as a deterrent.
Drugs: No personal opinion. Local issue, again; the degree of regulation should be decided by elected councils, not the federal government.
Economic System: Middle-of-the-road; willing to compromise when necessary.
Education: Should be a major priority of the federal government. Education and the media are the two ways via which it can enforce and maintain direct control over the citizens.
Electoral College in USA Elections: Unnecessary. The President should be elected by popular vote, and should nominally be Head of Government as well as Head of State, although the actual position of Head of Government will be divided among the Cabinet ministers.
Environmentalism: In favour of environmental conservation. Also in favour of tailoring non-conserved areas of the environment, such as farms, to our own needs as a species, and in doing whatever possible to reverse or minimize global climate change to ensure continued food supplies and the survival of species necessary to the planet's balance.
Euthanasia: No personal opinion. Local issue, again (see Drugs, and Abortion).
Evolution or Creation?: Evolution.
FCC: Plays a necessary role, although its focus may need to be redirected.
Gay Marriage: Local issue. However, I personally support government withdrawal from all aspects of marriage, making it a purely religious ceremony.
Gun Control: No opinion personally. Should be moderately loose, however (with licensing), to give gun owners the illusion of freedom while simultaneously keeping track of weapons.
Immigration Policies: No opinion personally.
Income Tax: Necessary. Should be automatically deducted from income, rather than leaving many loopholes and tax breaks for a skilled accountant to take advantage of. Those who feel they need tax breaks will be allowed to fill out a form.
Israel/Palestine: Not the rest of the world's problem. It should stop concerning itself with them.
Philosophy: Is common sense a philosophy?

President Obama/American Policies: No opinion regarding the current President. American domestic policies are probably among the closest to ideal among developed nations, but are cramped by increasing short-sightedness and populism among top officials. American foreign policies are somewhat less ideal, and it has had a hard time maintaining good relations with the international community in recent years despite economic and military superiority.
Prostitution: No opinion personally. Also a local issue.
Religion: No opinion. If you like it, keep it. If you don't, ignore it.
Social Security: Keep it, if only to gain the aging population's vote when elections next roll around.
The UN: It may not be exactly a world government, but it certainly inspires respect. Keep it.
Veganism/Vegetarianism: Your choice. I like meat.
War in Iraq: Came about as a necessity of GWB's domestic policies. Now that he is out of office, a gradual withdrawal may be in order, with control handed back to whatever provisional authority exists now.
War on Terror: Terrorism is a crime to be dealt with by law enforcement agencies. Military action is a less than ideal solution, and the Coalition has utterly failed in the most important aspect of a "war on terrorism" -- reeducation. The War on Drugs would have done much worse without a generation of children being brought up to Just Say No To Drugs. In short, a failure, unless the goal was not to curtail international terrorism but merely to provide a useful distraction for the US Government, in which case it is a phenomenal success.

Other infomation: I'm relatively new to NationStates (four months as of July 22), but I'm no stranger to RPGs. I played Dungeons and Dragons for about two years, Gurps for a few months, and a Star Trek-similar RPG for nearly a year. In the latter game, I advanced to Commander (which gave me some GM responsibilities in some of the roleplays) in about seven months. I love to write and I've written song lyrics, poetry, newspaper stories, opinion pieces, and letters to politicians and businesses.

Immigration Policies: Restrict immigration, especially in light of 9/11.
Social Security: It needs some major changes, but I would favour a cap on lifetime earnings or post-retirement earnings to keep the very rich from drawing money from it.
The UN: I think it should either be strong as a true world government or just not even bother.
Israel/Palestine: I think Palestinians should have their own state and Israel should exist as an independent Jewish state and each should leave the other alone.
Arms Trade: I'd only favour selling arms to countries we trust.
Drugs: I think generally, criminalisation has not worked to eliminate it.
Economic System: A mix of socialism and capitalism. I don't know really.
Prostitution: I say legalise it but tax it and impose health regulations.
FCC: Needs to spend more time regulating media conglomerates and breaking up the new Ma Bells than worrying about Janet Jackson showing her clevage.
Income Tax: I favour a system where the rich have to pay more than the hard-working middle and working classes.
Education: Should be a much stronger priority than it is.

Abortion: I do not agree with it, yet understand that I should not infringe on the rights or decisions of others.
Affirmative Action: Highly disagree with it as I believe in equality and not equity.
Arms Trade: Weapons and military is necessary
Death Penalty: I do not agree with it, two wrongs do not make a right
Drugs: All should be legalized and regulated then heavily taxed. It will remove a source of income from gangs, provide more money for the government, while also allowing the substance to be a bit more safer by the government regulating it's creation.
Economic System: I am not a fan of capitalism, as I do believe more in socialism, yet understand it's benefits and do not feel the need to rebel against it.
Education: Education for children needs to be improved and stronger standards needs to be set and enforced, as I have noticed a great decline of education in elementary and high schools.
Electoral College in USA Elections: Nil, I do not know enough on the topic to give an opinion.
Environmentalism: We should not destroy the environment and more needs to be done to preserve it, yet I despite groups like Greenpeace and PETA as using terrorist and bully stiles to help the environment is not how it should be done. More government intervention is what is needed, along with education in schools.
Euthanasia: I feel it should be allowed, as if we allow our pets that grace, then why do we not allow our own kind that possibility? It should not be forced, in order to not infringe on people's religious or moral rights.
Evolution or Creation?: Evolution, although I do rather not believe that humans evolved from chimpanzees and would like to think that it was a creature that was a cousin to the chimpanzee. Also, I like to see evolution as the 'how' while a higher being is the 'why'.
FCC: Nil, I do not know enough on the topic to give an opinion.
Gay Marriage: I do not agree with it, yet understand that I should not infringe on the rights or decisions of others.
Gun Control: Tighter gun control or the registration of guns will not help gun crime. Many of the guns used in gun crime are unregistered and brought in through illegal means. What gun control and registration laws do, is make it difficult for the regular, upstanding, citizen from obtaining a gun. With that said, one has to keep in mind that if someone has made up their mind to murder a person, they will find a means to attempt to do it.
Immigration Policies: I do not like immigration and think tighter control on immigration should be enforced.
Income Tax: We should all give back to the government so that the money can be invested into social programs that benefit all citizens. It makes sense that those who are making more are able to give more without truly suffering from it.
Israel/Palestine: I shake my head as that area always seem to be having problems. I'm surprised people still live in Gaza.
Philosophy: I absolutely enjoy philosophy, but one has to remember not to be consumed by it and loose touch of reality.
Political Party Affiliation: I'm not sure what it's asking. Although I see nothing wrong with being affiliated with a political party.
President Obama/American Policies: I highly disagree with them. Obama's platform seemed to have been built on the fact that he was black, was not Bush, and the word "change". American politics are also foolish, as both Democratic and Republican seem to represent different parts of the same side of the political spectrum. I feel there there is not enough diversity or choice of political and economical values.
Prostitution: It too should be legalized, for the same reasons I gave to legalize drugs. Not only that, it will also bring some rights to the women who are working in prostitution.
Religion: It should never be eliminated as it does provide some good to people and society. With that said, I don't believe in conversion of people, but I also believe that those who do not believe should not try to attack or 'convert' believers to the 'truth' either.
Social Security: It is much needed since it is the government's responsibility, especially of a government that can afford to do so, to make sure that all citizens of their nation is provided for and has their basic needs met.
The UN: It was a good idea when created and did some good back then, but now it has grown to be useless and corrupt.
Veganism/Vegetarianism: I do not agree with it, yet understand that I should not infringe on the rights or decisions of others.
War in Iraq: It was a foolish move to move into Iraq so quickly when Afghanistan was not yet finished. Now the United States has a two front war, and has made their job more difficult in both Iraq and Afghanistan. They should had held off until Afghanistan was more stable, then consider spreading into Iraq.
War on Terror: People need to learn that wars should be declared on entities. Declaring a war on a concept is a sure way to loose, as you cannot destroy a concept since it's not a tangle or defined object. You can only destroy entities.

On the domestic front, I feel sorry for America and the useless healthcare bill that will be put through.

Education: I went to private school because I like my schooling to be independent of the government's control, so I know nothing outside of private school and perhaps special education in the United States. In Ghana, there needs to be less English study and more focus on the abilities of the students in their own languages, which they are decidedly more comfortable in. Special education in Ghana needs to follow this same guideline but also needs to focus more on vocational skills rather than attempting to teach the children things like maths and writing because the national unemployment rate is 24%, so people are not likely to have the jobs available for people with special needs. It's better if they're trained to do things like textile work and kente weaving to support themselves and their families.
Electoral College in USA Elections: Against.
Environmentalism: For to an extent. I have absolutely no reason to believe that global warming is real, but my family has been living green for years without Al Gore telling us what to do. I think that some human interference with the environment is good, especially for things like clearing out brush in Southern California to rid the area of some awesome kindling for fires.
Euthanasia: Very much for. If my pets can go out peacefully rather than enduring horrible and painful conditions like cancer, why can't I? If the person has written that they want to be euthanised, they should be allowed to be.
Evolution or Creation?: Evolution!
FCC: Lame. People should deal with censorship in their own homes, not have someone do it for them.
Gay Marriage: Definitely should be legal with all of the benefits of opposite sex marriage.
Gun Control: Not entirely sure. I think government interference should be cut down, but at the same time I can see why people feel it should be regulated.
Immigration Policies: There need to be harsher penalties for illegal immigrants.
Income Tax: Hate it. I made that money; it belongs to me.
Israel/Palestine: They're never going to be friendly, so there needs to be a creation of two states.
Philosophy: I can't stand it, not one bit. My Catholic Ethics professor was a total douche, and he's the only person I've ever heard speak on philosophy.
Political Party Affiliation: Libertarian.
President Bush/American Policies: Not even touching this one. For my views on foreign policy, please look up Ron Paul.
Prostitution: Needs to be legalised. It's going to happen anyway, so we might as well legalise it so that there can be a little bit of control in there -- prostitutes in areas where it is legal have to carry something akin to a carte jaune to prove they're negative for STDs, and that's an absolutely lovely idea.
Religion: People have the right to choose whichever one they want.
Social Security: Privatise it.
The UN: Against. It doesn't do much good and it allowed Kofi Annan to get away with way too much shit.
Veganism/Vegetarianism: I have a special diet (coeliac disease, so gluten-free, and I do not eat red meat of any sort), so I can definitely understand why people would go for a diet like these. It's up to them to choose and they can do whatever they want.
War in Iraq: Against.
War on Terror: Terrorist acts are going to happen no matter what, and whilst it's nice to have someone watching out, it feels a little Big Brother to me.

Abortion: I'm all for it in all cases. Religious dogma shouldn't be able to tell a woman what she can and can't do with her body.
Affirmative Action: It's a fundamentally flawed and racist system. Scholarships and education should be based on the student's intellectual ability, not their ethnic background and skin color.
Arms Trade: It needs to be regulated to make sure that weapons don't fall in to the hands of rogue nations like North Korea
Death Penalty: It should only be used for extreme circumstances as in the case of Saddam. Otherwise, it is completely immoral and barbaric.
Drugs: They needs to be strictly controlled and out of the hands of the population.
Economic System: Treat businesses like you would any other citizen. They are not above the law and therefore should not have such disturbing power in politics and over people's freedoms. Also, all the breaks shouldn't be going to the rich. They don't need them. Let's have a nice mixture of both capitalism and socialism because if left unchecked, both systems will lead us to our doom.
Education: Fix up the system and be sure to update all public schools with the latest knowledge and technology, but keep the government relatively out of it to prevent it from becoming a way of brainwashing and conforming the masses. Let the parents decide if they can send their kids to a public or private school. The world needs education if it is to move on with the times.
Electoral College in USA Elections: I'm not an American, so I have no opinion.
Environmentalism: It is a good idea in itself, but has become too polarized and corrupted by the wrong people.
Euthanasia: I'm all for it especially if it ends the person's incurable suffering. It should be a private matter between the patient and the doctor.
Evolution or Creation?: Evolution. It's quite ridiculous to believe that it took seven days for some dude in the sky to snap his fingers and create the world. Creation should not be taught as science and should be kept in Sunday school and in the home, not the classroom.
FCC: It is nothing short of a censorship organization designed to force its morality on the population while sexually repressing the masses. Television and other media needs to be free from its tryanny. The sooner it is scrapped, the better.
Gay Marriage: Again, religious dogma should not be the decider on other people's love and freedom. It should be completely legal and not be something to be decided on in an election. An oppressive and ignorant majority do not have the right to take away or prevent a harmless minority from enjoying the same rights they do. Also, those people who are running propaganda campaigns against it and spreading anti-gay sentiments should be fined for hate speech.
Gun Control: There's a difference between wanting to buy a gun to protect your family and another to buy a machine gun designed to rip out the guts of your enemies. It should be closely monitored so the gun nuts don't get too excited and cause problems. The store owner also needs to run checks and tests to make sure whoever purchasing the gun has no criminal record, is emotionally stable, and can keep the gun away from any children. The person should be 18 or older and the store should be kept as far away from schools as possible.
Immigration Policies: We need to open our borders and give visas and citizenship to the so-called illegals already in the country. The checking of new arrivals needs to be reformed in a way so it doesn't discriminate, but keeps the country safe.
Income Tax: It needs to be replaced with a flat tax to pay for the government programs and activities that actually work.
Israel/Palestine: Both sides need to top the hate and boming the shit out of each other, but Israel has a right to exist without any pressure and attacks from extremist groups.
Philosophy: Don't really have one
Political Party Affiliation: See the above note about the parties I support.
President Bush/American Policies: In a Comic Book Guy voice "Worst President Ever." Horrid policies that accomplished nothing. I already listed them in another post I made in the best President thread.
Prostitution: As long as it doesn't involve children, I'm all for it. Just keep it closely monitored so the pimps and those involved don't turn it into a sex trade.
Religion: Religion is the enemy of freedom and a barrier to social progress. It needs to be completely taken out of politics and the classroom. I don't support banning it, just letting it die on its own when people eventually realize how meaningless and problematic it is. I have no problem with the moderates who don't force it upon everyone else, but I'm disgusted by any kind of evangelism and fundamentalism. Leave those of us who disagree with your values alone.

Affirmative Action: Is not good, you cannot solve racism with reverse racism. In my view it should be abolished.
Arms Trade: Is totally fine, unless it is with rouge nations, e.g. Iran, North Korea, or terrorist groups. Also, the sale of WMD's in any form should not be allowed.
Death Penalty: 100% behind it for major crimes. It saves a large economic burden for the state and serves as a lesson for other potential offenders.

Abortion: Undecided. The abortion debate brings out the worst in both sides of the political spectrum. The smugness, hypocrisy and self righteousness is insufferable in either case.
Affirmative Action: A necessary evil.
Arms Trade: I'd rather we didn't, but we probobly can't stop it.
Death Penalty: For especially heinous and severe crimes, and when there's no doubt whatever of guilt, yes.
Drugs: Legalize cannabis, but control where it can legally be consumed. I don't like hard drugs at all, but wonder if prohibition is feasable.
Economic System: Anything other than a mixed economy puts dogma before people, and is therefore wrong. Where markets produce socially desirable results, let them do so. Where they don't, don't be afraid to regulate or even nationalize in the case of a natural monopoly or essential goods and services that should be benefits of citizenship rather than commodities (basic food, shelter, health care and so forth). I also like the idea of social ownership of a market system - things like employee stock ownership, union and community representation on boards of directors, equity distribution schemes and the like.
Education: Universal and public, with a standardized curriculum.
Electoral College in USA Elections: Drop it. I'm a fan of proportional representation myself.
Environmentalism: We belong to the earth, not vice versa.
Euthanasia: Should be legal.
Evolution or Creation?: I personally think intelligent design is a plausable idea, but terrible science. Keep God out of the scientific process until his (non)existance can be demonstrated with scientific rigor.
FCC: Immediately nationalize all cable networks, all newspapers and magazines with subscription rates over 50,000 and radio stations that present any news or discussion of civil and social issues of any kind. Nationalize all T.V and movie production studios. Subject all media - informative AND enterainment that comments in any way, shape or form on controversial social and political issues to STRINGENT fairness doctrine and equal time laws. The same would apply to secondary and post secondary academic environments. Advertising is to be restricted in terms of money spent on it and is no longer tax deductible. Groups trying to influence academic and media content in any way, shape or form are to first be identified and have their manifestos/statements of principles made clear on the media they're trying to influence and/or all students and teachers affected by said curriculum content. Establish a strict code of conduct for educators, journalists, editorialists and writers regarding quality and fairness in their work. With all of this said, individual people operating outside their positions within media and academic institutions would be absolutely free to hold and express whatever views they wished.
Gay Marriage: The state should not tell private individuals and organizations so empowered to perform marriage ceremonies who they can, can't or should marry. No discrimination between gay and straight couples.
Gun Control: Probobly not feasable, but something I generally favor. Why do common citizens need automatic weapons anyway?
Immigration Policies: I favor a complete moratorum on all immigration - except to fill needed jobs - for a period of time to allow infrustructure growth to catch up to popular demand. Excess population growth is a bad thing.
Income Tax: A gradual progressive income tax. I'm a firm proponent of a negative income tax to remedy poverty.
Israel/Palestine: Lean towards Palestine, but find taking sides hard.
Political Party Affiliation: New Democratic party of Canada.
President Obama/American Policies: He's far from perfect, but I think he's moving things in essentially the right direction. I like the way he thinks and usually agree with what he says, but would like to see more follow through and back bone.
Prostitution: Should be legalized and regulated.

This is certainly evident as they are just fairly strong Democrats, while I support the Communist Party.

Abortion: Legal, safe, and rare. People who oppose abortion usually don't relize that if its illegal, it will still happen, but won't be safe. I'll never push any one to ever have an aborition unless their life is in danger from the pregnancy, and even then, only if they ask my opinion. As for making it rare, it has been shown that a healthy, well educated, affluent, and generally non-impovrished population has fewer abortions because people are smart enough to know about birth control (methods and practices) as well as able to afford such things like birth control pills.
Affirmative Action: I'm mixed on this. Quotas are bad, but insuring that there is diversity in all areas of life makes us stronger as a nation. It challenges us to know our fellow citizens and to reflect on who we are. As for those who claim its reverse discrimination, in some ways it is, some ways it isn't. In situations when employers or admissions people are racisit (and they are getting very good at hiding their feelings in this day and age), then it works to cancel out this affect. When these same people are not racist, it may or not be a discrimintory practice. But our society is still to divided to take the chances of letting racists control the mechanims, there are still to many of them.
Arms Trade: Don't sell weapons to terrorists, or retards who could become terrorists tomorrow. Simple yes? And don't sell weapons to countries that routinely make their citizens disapear, gass ethnic groups, or are generally horrible dictatorships.
Death Penalty: Only for treason that resulted in the loss of life or for the crime of genocide or attempted genocide.
Drugs: Legalization of drugs is a pandoras box. Some claim that making pot and the like legal will reduce use, but this backwards logic is simply that. Sure today there are many people who use it, but that's not because of the law, its because of a society that makes youths want to rebell or escape in such a way that drug use is one of the few options they have. Have less stupid parents, less controlling parents, and less ignoring parents, and kids won't be becoming the junkies of tomorrow. And besides, being high all the time can't be good for democracy. There's enough distractions out there that being an informed citizen is difficult enough.
Economic System: Mixed. Free enterprise, but don't let them get away with murder or screwing everyone. THere are safe and friendly ways to make the big bucks. And having parallel industries in the government actively competeing for customers keeps prices down and pushes the private companies to push for inovation. How else are you going to beat a non profit than to have a cheaper way to make your product?
Education: Pro education. Pro free education. And pro intelligent education. Vouchers steal money from public schools. It is frightening the current push by some portions of America for enrollement in private religious schools. Reminds me of a number of middle eastern countries known for intollerance and terrorist connections...
Electoral College in USA Elections: The electoral college is a relic of the 18th and 19th centuries. I'm surprised they didn't dump it in the 50s. In a two candidate race it is possible to win with less than 40% of the vote if you get the right states.
Environmentalism: Groups like ELF and PETA give enviromentalists a bad name, along with being really retarded and counter productive in their own right. But I'm pro enviromental protection, enviromental stewardship, as well as being pro enviromental regulation. The enviroment doesn't stop at your states boarder, its a national issue... or really, and international issue.
Euthanasia: Don't like it, as I don't like abortion, but I'll be okay if its legal.
Evolution or Creation?: Evolution. Intelligent design is a psudo-science attack on evolution to destroy its credibility. You can believe what ever the hell you want, but evolution is the only theory of history that has scientific merit and is thus the only one that should be taught in government funded schools. Creationism is religion, and that's your own business if you believe it. And if you want creationisim in the class room, who's creation story will it be? The flying spageti monster? Something about a world tree? Or perhaps a great spirit created us all.
FCC: The FCC won't let me be, or let me be me... Good at regulating frequencies, interference laws, and the like; craptastic at being our nanny. Parents should be smart enough to monitor what their kids watch. If the parents don't like the stuff that's on, they can deal with it. And its scarry that we can have people shot in the head on broadcast television but partial nudity on obsucre cable is a no-no.
Gay Marriage: Should be legal, but really, what the hell is the government doing regulating marriage anyway? It should be up to the church or the religion weather or not a couple shall be wed. Would you like the Scientologists telling you what to wear? Or the Buddists what to eat? Didn't think so. So why do we let one religious coalition control this issue?
Gun Control: Waiting periods on all purchases in order to perform background checks are good. As is bans on weapons that are meant for war (such as that big ass rifle they've had on 60 minutes, rocket launchers, and Celine Dion). And regulations to make sure guns are as safe to the user as any other product on the market are also good (don't want them exploding in your hand do we?) Any thing beyond that I'll leave to the states.
Immigration Policies: Immigration is what made America America. Change keeps us fresh. We should be open to more immigration. And if you don't like illegal immagrints comeing here, well perhaps we should be less like ass holes to their home governments and negotiate fair trade deals instead of free trade deals. If the US and Mexico had similar minimum wage laws, there wouldn't be a problem.
Income Tax: Progressive income taxes allow the government to tax only what a person can afford to be taxed. When some one making less than $10,000 a year has to spend all their money for housing, food, and fuel, there's not much left over to give the government 25% tax. But the guy that makes $10,000,000 a year isn't want for the basic necessities of life, thus he can afford to pay more.
Israel/Palestine: They're both fairly retarded. That's what happens when you get hard line extremists in controll of two closely placed factions for so long, they get stuck and can't get out of their circle of violence. So either they need to move to different halfs of the planet (unlikely), or become less retarded (also unlikely).
Philosophy: Progressive, leaning liberal on policy. The best policy is the one that benefits the most or that benefits the most in the future. Aka compromise and sacrifice is alright now if it means tomorrow is better for all involved.
Political Party Affiliation: Democrat
President Bush/American Policies: Visit dailykos.com if you want someone to list what problems I have with Bush. American Policies are a mixed bag, some are good, some are bad. It all depends on what they are.
Prostitution: I'm mixed on this. At this time I'm against it for large scale psycological reasons. Aka, its better to have society where sex is free and loving than a society were sex is cold and monetary.
Religion: seperation of church and state keeps the government flexible and religion pure. Mix them and you suddenly have money changers in the temple, and people dissapearing because they wore an offensive word on their shirt.
Social Security: Tis an area where I'm technically conservative... as in I want to conserve what Social security has brought us. But to do that, some reform in necissary, but its not about changing how medicare works, but by changing the pay roll tax. Yes, the pay roll tax should actually be a flat tax as opposed to a regressive tax which it is now. If you make a million bucks a month, then your taxes will go up, everyone else won't notice a thing. But social security will be a hell of a lot more solvent than the current scheme. Tis easy no? And less risky to.
The UN: Some reform is needed, but no one has yet come up with an intelligent and comprehensive plan that enacts good reform. All I've seen are attempts to dismantle it. Some ideas are the removal of veto power from the security council's core memebers, forcing the representatives to the UN to be elected positions in all member nations, and to give it more teath (aka a standing international military to go in and do the peace keeping, not just governments volunteering)
Veganism/Vegetarianism: Not for me. But if you want to, fine. I don't care. I like my meat.
War in Iraq: A mistake, a crime, and a failure. Does any one remember how the UN inspectors actually returned to Iraq a couple weeks before we invaded? Aka, Saddam was moving towards cooperation. And btw, its not critics of the war that are to blame (as many 'conservatives' seem to think). Guys blowing them selves up in Bagdad probably never heard of Micheal Moore or Tim Robbins. The peopel that messed it up are the ones who are in controll of the situation. Aka, the military planners and the Bush administration. Didn't we get a promise about always having an exit strategy back in 2000?
War on Terror: Is meant to create fear in the hearts of little old laddies and spur patriotisim in no nothing suburbanities. It won't be finished when Bin Laden's head is presented on a platter in the 08 republican convention and it wont be helped by having a retarted foreign policy. If we are going to win this thing, we have to remove the seeds and the roots of the problem, not simply cutting off the heads of the dandylion.

Abortion: While I leave it to the woman to decide, I disagree with late abortions, except under special circumstances.
Affirmative Action: While an admirable idea, it won't work, and is a waste of funding.
Arms Trade: Unless it is supporting an organization that directly wishes to harm our nation or our allies, or wishes to further oppress rights in areas such as Africa.
Death Penalty: While not preferable, accepted on a few conditions. 1. There must be hard, indisputable evidence 2. The person must have taken a life, or committed multiple rapes. 3. Once the above have been fufilled, the person is given three months to live. The execution method will be by firing squad.
Drugs: Not a problem at all. It is a waste of valuable resources to fight a 'war' against them.
Economic System: A system that won't fail unless the government completely collapses... So Socialism...
Education: Should be revamped with a National Curriculum. Should be less restrictions on public schools, and taxes should only be paid to a school one or one's offspring/cared-for adoptions.

Affirmative Action: Ambivalent, since I think people should be judged on merit only, but sometimes it might be necessary to break a prejudice.
Arms Trade: I think people are better off keeping their arms. Arm transplantation after death is negotiable though.
Death Penalty: Strictly against. Society has no right to kill, especially as truth can never be found with 100% certainty.
Drugs: Current drugs laws are screwed, as they are based on tradition rather than harm for the individual and/or society.
Economic System: social democrat, I suppose. Capitalism works well for goods, but does not work as well (or in some cases not at all) for services and public institutions.

Arms Trade: Which one? The mythical one to Mexico or the one between gangs? The one to Mexico is a threat to a valuable ally. Prevent it. Inter-gang trading (God, that sounded so dorky) is a product of gangs themselves, for which I refer you down to Drugs.
Death Penalty: Abolish it. The Judicial system is far from perfect. The government should not have the power to say who dies and who does not.
Drugs: Legalize them all, then tax and regulate them. That's the only way to prevent gangs and over-dosage. The gangs are because the drugs are difficult to acquire, and therefore expensive. Since drugs are often used heavily in lower-off communities, they cannot afford to buy it, and therefore have to resort to violence and crime.
Economic System: Broken. The system benefits those who cheat it, and those who benefit benefit more from their benefits. Power begets power. While we all are left behind to suffer.
Education: Broken. Higher grades still seek to generalize education. Most people won't use a Algebra, or U.S. History, or Chemistry, so from 8-10th grade and then on, it should be focused on honing each student's forte. This would be determined by tests that replace state standardized tests. Those who do not excel in any area will be given a choice to either pick and choose to try and get through, or take vocational. All of this is the student's choice, of course, the general education as we have now will still be continued. And, of course, this will all be funded by cutting the massive defense budget.
Electoral College in USA Elections: Meh.
Environmentalism: Protect the Earth. What's not to love?
Euthanasia: If a patient wills it, and signs a government issued contract after being allowed to read it thoroughly and completely in the presence of at least 2 witnesses who have nothing to gain from the patient's death, then it will be administered after a 48 hour wait to allow the patient to prepare mentally and emotionally. The patient is allowed to stop the procedure at any time.
Evolution or Creation?: Evolution. No shit.

Abortion: Should be allowed only in cases of rape or when the mothers life is in danger, unless the mother is willing die so her baby can come into the world. I used to be pro-choice, but then I realized that there are too many horny teenagers going around fucking and killing their babies.
Affirmative Action: Only until racism finally disappears. I do realize that in some cases it further escalates the problem it is trying to solve.
Arms Trade: Not needed. Military personnel are the only ones who need guns, and I don't even trust them with that right at the moment.

Economic System: Liberal socialism. Everything should be available to everyone. Everyone should be able to do what they want as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others or the environment. The economy and production should be looked after by the government, preferably through automation. And that should be one of government's only roles.
Education: Available to everyone at all levels, but not compulsory. Personally I enjoy many subjects of learning, and I know others do as well. Let the learning be done by the people who enjoy it and would like to make use of it.
Electoral College in USA Elections: Outdated. As is our faltering, indecisive representative government and its inability to represent the people. Direct democracy is completely possible, especially with today's technology. Representative government just makes it easier for the people who are really in power to remain in control.
Environmentalism: Very logical. The world and mankind as a collective are like an organism, and an organism at war with itself is doomed.
Euthanasia: If you want it. Personally I wouldn't, but it is up to the individual and no one else.

As long as they're "consenting adults" and recognize that with the right comes obligations. However, marriage has always been a religious ceremony in my mind. Abortion: I don't have a uterus, so it's not my decision to make. But I fully support the right of the woman to choose to have an abortion. I do believe that abortions should be illegal after the child is able to survive outside of the womb.
Affirmative Action: I do not support giving people advantages based on their race/ethnicity/nationality. This is the same as giving people disadvantages based on such things.
Death Penalty: I support the death penalty, on grounds of premeditated murder only. However, I think certain proof, such as DNA, is needed before one is executed.
Drugs: I am for the legalization and commercialization of marijuana. As for more severe drugs such as heroin, cocaine, etc, these should remain illegal.
Economic System: Some regulation of the economy is necessary.
Education: Absolutely vital. Education should be a higher priority, because a country can't be run by people who haven't been educated. I believe that evolution should be taught in schools, and abstinence-only sex ed should not.
Electoral College in USA Elections: I am in favor of ending the use of the electoral college, but this does not need to happen immediately.
Environmentalism: This is the only planet we've got, folks. For now, at least. Let's try and not, y'know, completely obliterate it.
Euthanasia: A person should, s/he choose so, be able to die “with dignity”.

Gun Control: The Constitution says we have the right to bear arms. That doesn't mean that things like a three-day waiting period and bans on ridiculous weapons like AK-47s go against our rights. No one needs an automatic rifle like that unless you plan on going on a killing spree.
Immigration Policies: Legal immigration is what this country is all about. I believe that people should go through the proper channels to enter this country, though.
Income Tax: I am for it. Taxes are not the devil.
Israel/Palestine: A two state solution.
Political Party Affiliation: Can't vote just yet. Barring any major political paradigm shifts, I will vote Democratic.
President Bush/American Policies: That is so last year.

Political Party Affiliation: Not specifically affiliated with anyone, voted Ron Paul in the primaries and McCain in the elections, but didn't particularly care for Paul and hated McCain. They were just better than the alternatives.
President Bush/American Policies: Glad Bush is gone. He was hardly a conservative. Smaller government my ass.
Prostitution: Legalize it.
Religion: I'm a Christian, as I said above. Everyone should be allowed to freely worship, and the church should be divided from the state.
Social Security: It's a waste of money. The bloated system can hardly support itself now and won't be able to do so in the future.
The UN: Decent enough an idea, better than the League of Nations, but in reality if the USA wants to do something we're going to do it. The same goes for the other powerhouse nations (Russia, China).
Veganism/Vegetarianism: Good for them?
War in Iraq: Against the reasons for going into Iraq. Against the bullshit campaign of Bush. However, now that we are there, I don't want to see us leave fully until Iraq's functioning government can stably exist on it's own. I'd like to keep at least one base there for 15 years and then leave completely, but I don't see that happening.
War on Terror: Silly, inept, but for a good cause. All in all counter-productive in the end though.

FCC: Far too politically correct and over zealous on matters that hardly deserve any attention.
Gay Marriage: Call me old school or a bigot, but I most certainly do not support Gay Marriage; or anything praising homosexuality for that matter.
Gun Control: I support it to an extend. I do believe everyone should have the right to bear arms, but a license should be required alongside strict rules.
Immigration Policies: I prefer isolationism over free immigration. I have no love for 'refugees' who flee their country and come crying to us at the first sign of trouble.
Income Tax: I strongly support taxes, so long as they're not excessive. Organized society as we know it would not survive if we stopped giving the government our money.
Israel/Palestine: I give Israel my support on this matter. Palestine is a filthy nation of criminals and terrorists who hold a pointless grudge over losing land that rightfully belongs to Israel and the Jews.

President Obama/American Policies: Can't stand Obama nor his recent policies. I have much preferred for McCain to win instead of that populist, Democrat bastard. Seventy-Five percent of his supporters only voted for him and continue to support him because of his skin colour (as someone who is still in High School, I can corroborate this very easily).
Prostitution: Obviously, I strongly oppose prostitution. It is immoral and only serves to spread diseases among the populace.
Religion: I highly support religion as it is a guiding moral force that helps build character and strong morals. However, radicalization of religion is highly dangerous phenomenon as Islamic fundamentalists show time and time again.
Social Security: No opinion
The UN: An incredibly useless and overly idealistic organization that serves no purpose other then whine and pass the occasional bill that no one pays any attention to. Frankly, I just think the UN should be disbanded.
Veganism/Vegetarianism: A sign of weakness and ignorance of how the natural world works.
War in Iraq: The War in Iraq, despite how much I support it, is a lost cause and pointless endeavor. Far too many soldiers have died for a useless objective. Afghanistan, on the other hand, has a much greater chance of success and should be supported until the nation can finally survive on its own without fear of Islamic militants or civil war.
War on Terror: I greatly support the War on Terror both as a form of revenge for all of the terrorist attacks that have occurred and to stop or impede future terrorist actions.

Abortion: I don't think the government should ban abortion, I think what the woman does with her own body is her choice. However, on a personal level, I would never consider abortion.
Affirmative Action: I am against hiring people base on race, to fill some quota. However, I do understand that AA also protects people from being fired on a whim, and I am for that.

Death Penalty: I used to be for this, but I've actually am now against it because there's always that small chance that a person is innocent, and I'd hate to put an innocent person to death.

Political Beliefs:

Abortion: Only during rape or intoxication situations, and only in the 1st trimester.
Affirmative Action: EH... It depends on the situation. Sometimes, it's uncalled for pandering, but in situations where nobody was going to fix it anyway due to a wide-spread bias (i.e. KKK-enforced Reconstruction racism), it can be a god-send for those who need it.
Arms Trade: Sure. If somebody has too many guns, why not make a profit off of it? Selling defense can't be a bad thing, in the long, distant end.
Death Penalty: My faith says no, but I say yes, only when those who will be executed are irredeemable (self-defending madmen or completely beyond sanity and decision).
Drugs: NO. They're bad for you, bad for the economy, bad for society, and all-around bad.
Economic System: Capitalism with a soul, as Glenn Beck would put it. Freedom makes money flow freely and in large quantaties, but that doesn't mean you can do whatever you want to get it at other peoples' expense.
Education: Keep the government out of it. They always lower standards to save money. Private schools, enforcing each other, can be wonderful places to learn. It's a shame I never got to go to one...
Electoral College in USA Elections: EH... Torn on this one: A charismatic leader who is all talk and no substance can trick people into voting, but keeping people out of the elections isn't true democracy... I don't know where to stand on this one.
Environmentalism: As long as we don't rape the planet without checking ourselves in exchange, I say let's use the planet for what it's worth!
Euthanasia: Not really OK with me. You didn't choose to get born, so you shouldn't (reasonably) choose to die, unless there is truly no point in going on. It's complicated.
Evolution or Creation?: Evolution cause by Creation. God's not stupid. He set everything up so it would work in a scientific method.
FCC: Only for super-sexual stuff that could be exposed to kids that are not adolescent yet.

Political Party Affiliation: Both parties are playing pure politics. The "tea party" might be founded on negativity, but it has a few good points, so I might side with them, but only if they didn't give an excuse for crazy people to side by them for resources and respect.
President Obama/American Policies: Not so good. Instead of seeing his election being because of his ability to change the economy, he saw it as a chance to change America's society, which we didn't want, and that is why he is now so unpopular.
Prostitution: No... It's bad for public morals and, dare I say, the gene pool...
Religion: Good. People are naturally good AND bad, but if we cultivate the good, it can out-grow the bad, and healthy societies can be maintained.
Social Security: It's good for people who truly can't support themselves, but sometimes, it's just people using it to get free money on top of other money.
The UN: IT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING. If it did something, it'd be cool, but it doesn't. It doesn't even like America, so get the hell off our land!!!
Veganism/Vegetarianism: STUPID. Animals are made to be eaten. It's the natural order. Come on!
War in Iraq: While it might have been sketchy to start with, it was done with good intentions and the end result is a society left better than it started (going from a authoritarian tyranny to a democracy, blossoming in it's own time).

Abortion: Legal. It should be the choice of the woman, unless "God" comes down on a cloud and tells us otherwise. It's her body, after all.
Affirmative Action: No. I think it's just as bad as what happened during the Civil Rights Movement. Why should minorities be given free benefits when they did absolutely nothing to receive them? They obtained their freedom, leave it at that.
Arms Trade: Why not? It's not any different than trading crops or natural resources.
Death Penalty: Only if the crime is particularly atrocious. Who are we to think we have the authority to kill someone just because he murdered another individual?
Drugs: Nah. They ruin too many peoples' lives and cause people to do some crazy shit. It's safer for the populace if these things were outlawed.
Economic System: Capitalist. Let the strong survive.
Education: Either fix it, or sell it off to a private company, where they will have to work hard at improving and maintaining it for fear of competitors getting the ticket. I also believe I made a thread on the topic.
Electoral College in USA Elections: Hmmm... difficult topic. I agree with the fact that popular vote is not always the best means of election, so I'd keep the College.
Environmentalism: People need to stop giving them so much attention, they exaggerate "issues" horribly.
Euthanasia: Only in cases where the patient is experiencing tremendous pain.
Evolution or Creation?: Neither. Both are bullshit, I think we should just be happy we're here and leave it at that.
