It loads in probably 1/5th the time that jolt did... plus I want to feel drawn towards the new forum because it's not third-party, which is good IMO.

Well, admittedly it has way under 1/5th of the users of the jolt boards ... we'll see how it functions under stress soon enough, I'm sure.

As for the aesthetics, I think it looks better, myself.

I don't really mind the green, but there's a bit too much... white.

I'm not too keen on how the end of one post/sig and the start of the next almost seem to run together, and the line between post and sig is rather pale, but maybe it's just a matter of acclimatisation.

I think it looks rather good, with the exception of the area where you type your posts. Whatever you call it. This thing I'm typing in right now. I liked Jolt's set-up for that better. It was a lot more n00b friendly, whereas this one looks like you actually have to have some experience with coding to make your posts look cool.

I'm not a big fan of the colours and lack of hard dividing lines between posts, but I'd much rather have an unfamiliar layout than have those stupid ads Jolt puts in every thread page's first post.

Still though, since this new forum is still in beta, we might see some refinements to the look? Maybe?

Eh. The forum's a bit on the ugly side, but as long as there's no ads, I'm fine.

Personally I already prefer this look to Jolt's (where's that skin from, 1993?). But assuming we survive the load test, we can tweak to our heart's content. So feel free to post suggestions for improved cosmetics!
