Are world government's hiding extraterrestrials from public?

True, but we're talking about one of the most profound and historical things to ever happen to the humans, some people will be upset the government hid something like that, on top of that, the government has been wasting people's hard earn money, that can tick people off so much they'll stop associating with the government, or worse riot

First, very few people would even consider rioting over such a thing. Second, knowledge that intelligent alien life exists would do absolutely nothing to reduce the need of the government to spend tax money as it does. Such knowledge would not make money appear out of thin air.

A spacecraft plowing into the ground is going to be a flaming wreck. Nobody is going to salvage anything of immediate value from a heap of twisted metal like that, it would take years of reverse engineering to make any of that alien technology anything remotely usable to humans, if at all. They're not going to obtain something that would make NASA worthless, and they're certainly not going to find a cure for every single disease.

You do have a point there, though there are some UFO crash reports of the entire craft looking intact, plus like you said it could take years of reverse engineering to truly understand the concept of how something works, but if the government has been recovering UFO crashes for over 6 decades, I'm sure all that reverse engineering paid off and gave the government a level of understanding how UFO crafts work
