I checked op links and this is just a small thing in twitter. I don't think that we can call it public pressure considering that Disney movies are being shown worldwide to huge audiences.

Isn't it rather weak to be asking for lesbian characters, when the Bible has nothing against lesbians? When most straight men find the concept of lesbians to be either amusing or sexually exciting, and even straight women aren't often confronted by the existence of lesbians? If you want to insert more "real world" characters into Disney, surely you'd want the more common male homosexuals, and/or male bisexuals, to be the standard bearer?

Maybe I'm sexist in this, but isn't discrimination and violence against male gay/bi people a bigger problem than discrimination and violence against female lesbian/bi people?

Portrayals of mass murder aside, this doesn't really sound like it has much of an appeal outside of a few loudmouthed Twitter users. I'm sure Disney's the sort of company that will milk a franchise for what it's worth but I seriously doubt it'd go so far as to make Elsa an LGBT character. Not really enough people to justify it, especially when the same sorts of people are calling out Disney on it's long list of white princesses.

Let's be sincere, if they were asking for more hetero romance you would not be triggered in the slightest. I do not believe Offended Inc here is on the people simply asking something on twitter. "Public Pressure" is inherent to the act of being a public company, you put grape jelly in the market and people will say "yeah that is great, but do you think strawberry jelly is also possible?", its not the end of the world, its demand and supply 101.

This week, Offended Inc. have released their newest political correctness campaign- make beloved children's movie character, Elsa, from the Disney Movie, Frozen, an LGBT character and give her a girlfriend. (Yes, this is a serious campaign, welcome to the 21st Century) Now really? Is there a need to make a children's Movie character a lesbian? I mean seriously?
There's even a hashtag #giveelsagirlfriend I mean seriously, is there really a need to push your political agenda on children and shove LGBT propoganda down their throats? You do realise it's a children's movie right? Where do you stand on this, NSG?

I'm still at a loss as to why anyone would care about romantic associations in stories. They rarely ever improve a story. It seems to be a common problem with stories these days.

You could fill this part of the story with character development, plot development or any other number of interesting things. But no, you gotta waste time showing who is waxing who's carpet. And all the boring over politicised crap that comes with it.

Like this Elsa character is some sort of magic user. How about we throw in a rocky type montage of her becoming bad arse sorceress of the year. Or a meditative spiritual quest.

I have to say it has been a long time since I last watched Frozen but as far as I remember the whole romance subplot was with the sister, not Elsa.

Therefore, should there be a movie 2 with a romance subplot, what is the problem in saying "hey, if the interest was a girl it would be cool as ice"? Seems to be a popular choice with magical females nowadays anyway, just ask Japan

Again, if there was a third young male character and people were saying "hey if there is a movie 2, he and Elsa should hang out" I doubt people would be classifying it as vile public pressure / holding poor, defenceless Disney at gun point

There should be ~26 lesbian disney character, there are ~ 3600 disney character. The percentage of LGBTs are at 3.5%. Pretending that children can't be LGBT, bigoted I know, but the numbers only exist for adults. After multiplying that percent by the number of characters, you would get the number of LGBTs: ~126. Now, not all LGBT are lesbian so dividing by 5 should narrow it down to about, ~26

Except your own sources don't show anyone getting offended. They've really only suggested the idea in an entirely non-confrontational way. If you must have some queers to bash, have a go at the "dead lesbian/bury your gays" people.
