I was playing on that same world, and I was hiding out in a Village the first night. I heard tons of villagers - more than had packed into the house I was hiding in. So I mined through the roof of my house and found that the game had generated a tavern pretty much on top of the library I was hiding in - and about 10 villagers had packed into there.

So after building the (Admittedly simple) wall for my desert city, I've gone to the city planning stages...

And I'm stuck on what I want to do.

Well, you will want to make room for any essential buildings, and lay out approximate foundations for them first. You'll need roads, arranged however is most conducive to your city size and environment. Lots of stuff goes into a city, really. My friend and I just spent 3 hours planning out a single castle, and it was difficult enough. The reward is worth it, though.

So I was checking out an SMP server I haven't been on in a while, and I decided to travel through my nether portal.

Looks like you made some new friends.

I really need to play mine craft more. Right now I only play for an hour or a week when my friend who makes maps for a living needs testers. I'm also Waiting on him to finish his current contract so I can provide a bit of help on the next map he submits to realms. I'm halfway to a cape with 20 minutes of work. I feel like I shortchanged them and I want him to get back to work on the space map we were working on for ages to make up for it.

Finished working with the new concrete blocks. I figured that, since you need to put concrete powder through water to get usable concrete, farms would be the best option for mass production. I've developed 1-dimensional, 2-dimensional, and 3-dimensional models for concrete farms. The 3D one takes a little under 10 minutes to fill up.

Wait. Did I read that right? Concrete? In Minecraft?

Yep. It's part of last month's 1.12 snapshot.

Y'know what I think would be fun? A new dimension.

We already have The Nether and The End, but I think adding another dimension would be nice. I personally think something like the Twilight Forest would be interesting.

I've been working on a starship for a while, and today I finished work on the main hull. She still needs to be plated and filled with interior structure, but I'm quite happy with how the ship has turned out so far.

Thanks! This is actually a ship of my own design, but I took a lot of design ideas from the Enterprise-D and a fan ship called Pacific in building this.

I built a little Viking settlement and stuff, I can't post it though because it's on PS3. I can get a kind of screenshot picture from the PS3, but I don't wanna fuck up my USB drives.

Why would that fuck your USB drives? Is your drive not FAT32?

Well on the PC you usually have to click on the USB thingy on the bottom bar and then click on the stuff that will make it safe to remove it, and you can't do it on the PS3 that I know of.

I don't know what FAT32 is.

Just pulling out the drive usually isn't a problem. Safe removal just optimizes the drive for disconnection. What's a problem is if you are still writing to or from the drive when you remove it. It also appears that PS3s don't need a safe removal feature, because they transfer files to USBs differently.

Oh.
Well, unfortunately when I do get the pictures they're pretty small. Might be hard to see what's going on in a picture. I can see if I can upsize it in MS Paint or something.

So. I rebuilt the ruined cathedral in the tutorial before the new one in the 360 version. Now converting the whole thing to quartz instead of sandstone. Whoopee...

I haven't posted in this topic in forever.

But I'd like to play Minecraft again...only I can't remember my password and my account is so old that apparently it no longer exist and there's no way to retrieve the records needed to get a password reset. Ah, the joys of being an Alpha player.

So Microsoft has rolled out its latest plan to make back the multi-billion dollar price they paid for Mojang. Paid DLC for Pocket and 10. I'd be mad but this was inevitable for pocket edition and my friend is one of the creators being paid under this. He'd been hinting at something big for awhile and this is actually a pretty good deal for him.

I was just about to link to that! MSN covered this as well and I was going to ask how everyone else felt. I'm glad that they intend to keep the free stuff around, at least for now. But if MC turns into a DLC nightmare then we can officially say that Microsoft has taken over EA's job as the DLC killer.

I mean, to me it just looks like something of an app store for Minecraft, and I've never really played with anything other than vanilla anyways, so I don't really care
