Regardless, the ending was bad.

Nyu, Lucy (the killing machine), and the little girl who's dog was killed. Remember how she had visions of a girl wrapped in bandages telling her to kill people? That was Lucy.

It was very disappointing.

With a name like "Death Parade", I seriously doubt it.

Who the fuck comes up with Anime names, Johnny the Really Uncreative Man?

That's the point. The title, the intro(Ah, that fucking intro), the bar setting. All meant to be misleading.

But it does get pretty dark/psychological(And accompanied with beautiful animation thanks to Madhouse).

Watching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood for the first time.

And watching IJN revanchist propaganda anime Kancolle.

Top 10 Animes that I watched fully recently, from best to worst:
1. One Piece
2. Attack on Titan
3. Code Geass
4. Death Note
5. Bleach
6. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
7. Monster
8. Steins Gate
9. Dragon Ball
10. Tokyo Ghoul

So anyway I am unsure which ones of the followings I should watch first:
-Gintama
-Darker than Black
-Fate Zero
-Rurouni Kenshin

So, which one should I watch first? Any recommendations?

So, I've hears that Attack on Titan has been popular lately, so I decided to check it out. I had no idea whether or not I'd like it. I saw that it had been made by the same guy who did Death Note, and that just made it worse. I mean, the first 25 episodes of Death Note were amazing, one of the best animes I've seen. The last 12? Pure crap.

I had no idea which way Attack on Titan would go. Thankfully, it was pretty great. I think Death Note was better, but this was still good. I'm just pisses off that I'm going to have to wait until 2016 to get the rest of the story. We are at that 25 episode mark, however. Hopefully Attack on Titan doesn't repeat Death Note.

Light turns himself in, that's when it just began being repetitive "is he Kira? I'm not Kira! OK so he is not Kira. But maybe I am in fact Kira? So are you Kira?"

Despite that, I enjoyed the earlier parts of the show enough to put it in my top 10 Animes.

Oh god no. The ending was the worst part, nothing but horrible deus ex machina after deus ex machina.
I understand that Light was supposed to lose; he is the villain after all. The problem is that he realistically shouldn't have lost. Neither N nor M were even remotely good enough, especially with how entrenched Light had become.

In the first 25 episodes, Light and L are legitimately intelligent, to the point where I'm not ashamed to say that I didn't even understand some of their schemes until they were explicitly explained. In the last 12, however, I kept shouting at the screen how Light could do better. They dumbed him down just to give N a chance, had him make obvious mistakes when befote he was so paranoid and meticulous. Now maybe if they had done something to attribute it to arrogance, it would work. However, we never see any indication that Light doesn't treat N seriously.

To make things worse, however, even after dumbing Light down, he was still so far away that they had to give a massive deus ex machina in the last episode just to have the good guys win: replacing the notebook in the bank. This raises so many questions. First, how did they know that the real book was there? Sure, what's-his-face broke his schedule, but there were numerous other explanations, some of which were more likely from a deductive standpoint. Second, even ignoring that question, nothing else works. How did they get access to the safety deposit box? They have no authority anymore, so they can't legally search it. Did they break in and commit theft? That probably would have been found out and implied that the book had been compromised. Plus, how did they duplicate and replace it so quickly? They would have had to go through the entire process of taking pictures and making a duplicate again. They didn't have that kind of time. No matter how you slice it, that was shit.

They wrote themselves into a corner when they killed L, and the rest of it was just flailing death throes. Either end the show at 25, or don't kill L. N is absolute garbage. He's just a pale copy of L, and a horrible one at that. If you feel compelled to copy your own character immediately after killing him, maybe you shouldn't kill him in the first place.

I would highly recommend Rurouni Kenshin, or specifically the first two major arcs. Everything after the Kyoto arc is pure filler, and while not bad for filler, it's pretty weak when stacked up against the manga-based Tokyo and Kyoto arcs. Fun piece of historical drama with a really good blend of the serious and the silly. The OAVs are pretty good (well, except, again, the not-based-on-the-manga Seissouhen/Reflections OAV,) but those tend to be a lot more serious, and the difference in the art style between the TV series and the OAVs can be pretty jarring.

Definitely one to watch subtitled though, the English dub is pretty atrocious. (Though the dubbing outtakes are friggin' hilarious.)

Good point. Only good thing to come from the Samurai X dub are the aforementioned outtakes. The guy they had voicing Hiko just could not get the Japanese attack names right. XD

Yeah after L died I tried to watch a few more episodes but that was as far as I could go.

The replacements for him were woefully inadequate and would never match L in terms of character.
I had some great fun watching L and Light play off each other in mental games, once L had died I knew that the show would lose it's momentum.

Still don't know how it ends and I don't care honestly.
