By the next day I watched the entire first season and were watching the second season.

That's my origin story, and how dare you deny the glory of the New Lunar Republic!

My story is I used to hate the series, then I watched fan videos. Smile HD (Totally recommend this to any new brony), Rainbow Dash Presents (This fool especially sucked me in), Brony Dance Party's music vids, Pony.MOV, etc, all made me wonder, "OMG, what if I am a brony!" so I watched an episode, then 2, yadayada, and I officially became a brony.

I was somewhat into My Little Pony (mostly for the theme song, the toys and shows could screw off) when I bumped into FiM. Naturally I thought to myself, "not again..." when I discovered the Brony fanbase (via My Little Brony). That got me wondering, "Why are these people liking a show based on My Little Pony?" and I did some research and development--testing the waters by listening to fan music and studying fanart, mostly. As time went on I felt more and more like this fandom was somewhere I should be, and while I did consider myself a fan of the show, I couldn't call myself a Brony until I actually watched the show, and lo and behold, I went to YouTube, watched the first two episodes, and was sold. And I've loved being here ever since.

I see we're doing stories of how we got into MLP.

Much like Equesti, i too used to be a hater. During my early days, when i began to conquer F7 psuedo RP, more than a few people i did this with were bronies. By this time, my hate had died down, to a slight disapproval, but mostly tolerance. As evidence by that my characters didn't try to murder pony characters. This persisted for several months until, one day, the slight OCD i have with not understanding a conversation, got the better of me. Being bullied and whatnot, i found my only advantage to be intelligence, and i soon became knowledgeable in any conversation and knew any reference any of my school turds could come up with. However, i did not understand MLP in the slightest, and, one faithful day on the weeked before Christmas break, i snapped.

It started with the series premier. It ended, 3 days later, with some episode in season 4.
It always go thats way with MLP huh? You watch one, and you're done.

My first contact to FiM was "Twilight Sparkle VS Harry Potter" on another forum.
Then I forgot the G4.
Then I found Ye Olde Thread here.
Then I read all several hundred pages of Ye Olde Thread.
Then I watched S1.
Rest, as they say, is history.

Some think like that yes. My own was no where near that dramatic. Heard it mentioned on another forum was confused why people watched it, watched an episode and now well [history cliche here].

Oh, this is at least the third time I've told mine:

I was aware of the show from nearly the beginning, when Magical Equestria came into being in Late 2010. I maintained a tentative interest, not really caring about its past associations, for nearly two years, learning all I could about the show without actually watching an episode or even any fan videos. Finally, in the summer after the wedding episodes, I watched some and it got my approval. For a time I was part of the crowd that thought it really was a revolution in children's TV programming, when it really wasn't, at least not to the extent that so many of them claim.
I’m mostly here for... something to do, I suppose.

Retro Lyra got me into liking My Little Pony during the spring of 2012. Of course since I couldn't have the Hub, I stuck to fan fictions until six months later when my family purchased it on Dish.

Call of the Cutie was the first episode I seen, which made me love Apple Bloom.

Herro.

I apologize to those who missed me. Life's been repeatedly kicking my flank recently, so I haven't had much time to kill. But now that my classes are over and I don't have to work much this week and my SS's car is in the shop, I can do internet stuff. Pony stuff.

Expect many horse arts from me soon. I'll be participating in the artist's training grounds on Equestria Daily, and I have a few requests that I still haven't done.

And yes, there will be nog.

Hey Ceffy!

You know what? I'm going to go with the Diamond Package for my BronyCon Experience. $2000 dollars is going to be a hassle to get, sure, but it comes with hotel reservations, cool plushies, a unique poster, a musician meet-and-greet, some ego-stroking at the closing ceremonies, and a nice gift card.

EDIT: Hmmm.... Nog, eh?

It's not like I wouldn't *have* money for games or a new computer as by the time BronyCon rolls around, assuming I work minimum wage over a 40-hour work week from January to August, I'll have more than $8,000. And I've got some nice builds from Czech and Spoder over in the Thread 4 Gamers that only cost $600 anyway, so no worries.

I do consider myself a Brony. Not a very strong one, but I enjoy the show no less. Basically, I stumbled across the show on the newfangled Hub network back in 2011, my sophomore year of Highschool. Was hooked ever since.
