Relevant. Although trucks are definitely men. Perhaps I ought not to invest into creating a carpony, since Lila is having transmission troubles and may need replacement soon anyway.

Oh, that's sad, I bet Lila would be cute as a pony.

She makes a cute car, at least.

Applejack isn't the best pony, anyway. There is no best pony, and if there was, it wouldn't be Applejack.

We read it in freshman English, and it was actually quite good.

You know, before playing MTG, I never would have seen this as a reference.

Yeah, I know what you mean, because I've never played Magic the Gathering.

Because it's horribly depressing? Forces everyone to feel bad for poor people seventy years ago? Look, I've already been forced to read The Fault in Our Stars, The Grapes of Wrath, The Kite Runner, and the Book Thief in school. I've had enough depressing books for the next ten years.

It's almost as if they stole part of Nicol Bolas' design for him. Actually, much of their backstories are very similar. Imprisoned on a separate plane because of evil deeds done, both of them break free and get stronger by absorbing different elements of magic/mana, until they assume their ultimate form and get defeated by a group of super ponies/planeswalkers. :P

TIREK IS NICOL BOLAS.

Pfffft, you think Of Mice and Men is depressing?

I mean, have you even read My Little Dashie?

After a quick trip to Google Images, I can say with confidence that I see the resemblance.

Maybe the two share a great uncle.

Indeed. Patridam, that is only one more indication of a good book.
Steinbeck is a fantastic author.

All fictional stories are worthless compared to nonfiction.

I would argue that even compared to non fiction, fiction is far from worthless. By reading literature we gain an understanding of the human condition that can't be presented as facts, dates and statistics. You can dive into the spirit of the times, another's vision of the world, provide lessons in a way that couldn't be portrayed in the format of a text book, or even spur imagination the father of invention (necessity being the mother). Never call fiction worthless, now individual pieces of fiction may be worthless but so are pieces of non fiction.
