If you give me at least five talents, you get to design an NPC!
If you give me the most talents out of anyone, you get to design a faction!

So, as some may know, I'm making an rpg system based on ponies, and I decided to start a thread for it so as to more easily organize the brainstorming. Right now, I just want suggestions for talents as that is what I'm currently working on.

What is a talent?
A talent is a special feature that either gives the character some sort of buff or a unique ability. It is a thing that stays with the character permanently once it's acquired. For those familiar with D&D, it's like a feat.

So, I've already got a lot of talents done, and most of those I won't post as there's not much point. I'm not taking suggestions for those three categories; they're finished. However, there are four more categories with plenty of empty room. Once I post the lists of what I currently have, go at it. :)

Blind Fighting - reduces the penalties on melee attacks for lack of sight
Maneuver, Guerrilla Shot - can make a ranged attack during movement
Maneuver, Jump Strike - deals extra damage
Maneuver, Multi-Shot - can shoot multiple arrows at once
Maneuver, Multi-Throw - can throw multiple weapons at once
Maneuver, Shield Bash - deals damage and has a chance to stun
Maneuver, Spin Attack - make a melee attack against every opponent in range
Maneuver, Springing Step - can make a melee attack during movement
Mobile - gives dodge bonus to armor
Posture, Defensive - trade attack bonus for armor bonus
Posture, Offensive - trade attack bonus for damage bonus
Posture, Precision - trade damage bonus for attack bonus
Posture, Reckless - trade armor bonus for attack and damage bonuses
Posture, Reserved - trade damage bonus for armor bonus
Precision Blows - bonus to critical chance
Quick Aim - no penalty for shooting into melee
Quick Draw - ready weapon as a minor action
Rapid Reload, Crossbow - reload crossbows faster
Rapid Reload, Rifle - reload rifles faster
Rapid Shot - shoot an extra arrow per round
Sniping Shot - extra range

Armored Swimming - lessened penalties for wearing armor while swimming
Chaotic Mind - reroll failed saves against mind-affecting effects
Child if the Moon - bonus to attack during the night
Child of the Sun - bonus to attack during the day
Critical Hit Bonus - bonus to critical hit severity
Dampening Hide - bonus to resist magic
Determined Student - bonus to learning chance
Flirtatious - bonus to interacting with those who find the character attractive
Foal at Heart - bonus to interacting with foals
Friendly - bonus to friendship score
Hardy - bonus to resist non-lethal damage
Honorable - bonus to reputation modifier
Hunter - bonus to attack and damage rolls and all relevant skill checks against a chosen enemy
Improvisational - no penalty for improvised weapons

I've always wanted to play D&D...
Pony D&D should be, according to calculation, approximately 127% more awesome.

It won't be exactly the same. There are no classes or levels.

Anyways, this is what I have so far. Any ideas would be nice. I would especially like suggestions for the racial talents, primarily for donkeys, mules, deer, and griffons.

Griffons would be combat, specifically melee methinks. Donkeys and mules i'm not to sure, they're rather similar to one another.

Yeah, the main thing griffons have is that they're bulky flyers. Pegasi, bat ponies, and changelings are kinda fragile.

Pegasi seem like they might be the 'elves' or ranged professionals for ponies. Unicorns obviously magic, and Earth ponies melee.

Oh, that doesn't matter. I'm not getting that detailed.

Sure it does. It would be factored in to whether or not the shot hit. If you were to use dice like normal D&D, you would probably take the number rolled and add, say, three to it.

If I wanted to add such detail into the weapons, I could make 50 different swords each with different stats, but I don't want to do that. I want to keep the mechanics simple. The guns will just be guns.

Also, for the friendship thing, that's an entire mechanic. The more friends you have, the better all your rolls become.
