Since I believe it's been stated somewhere that all Air Nomads are/were airbenders, I don't think "non-bending Air Nomads" would be possible.

Since the Air Nomads' were nearly wiped out I don't think anything about their culture is permanent anymore.

They're not a state, so what meaning would there be in considering them to be Air Nomads?

They were all airbenders because their spirituality and genes enabled them all to be benders. Air Nomad and Airbender are not synonymous terms, it just so happens that all air nomads were benders, because they were spiritual. It does not mean that the air acolytes cannot now be air nomads, just not airbenders (unless affected by Harmonic Convergence). They carry on the traditions, teachings, and ways of life of the air nomads, and live like them, and likely won't just be leaving, so I think they are to be considered the new, nonbending air nomads.

The very fact that non-benders are carrying on the culture shows that nothing is set in stone.

Is any culture ever truly set in stone? Cultures and peoples change over time. Even the Air Nomads pre-genocide changed some customs.

You know, I find it a problem that it seems nobody has told Korra that if she dies while in the Avatar State, the Avatar Spirit ceases to exist (we know now, only for 10,000 years).

I wonder how the world would be like without the Avatar.

too much fighting. Not that Korra can do much about fighting. she failed to prevent a civil war. and also, why would Korra believe Unalaq when he said the Avatar has to remain Impartial? Kyoshi sided against Chin. Roku sided against Sozin. Aang Sided against Ozai! The Avatar is very much allowed to take sides.

The Avatar should be siding against those who are trying to upset the balance.

Well, the Avatar's duty, as Tenzin later put it, is to the world, and those aforementioned guys were fucking with the world balance. She is "impartial" in the sense that the Avatar is transcendent the nations.

They're Star Trek Enterprising it. It finally starts picking up, and then they decide it needs to go.

I need more proof.

Nvm... Bryan's blog is enough.

*breathes heavily* WHYYYYY?!!!! Will they air?! and the low ratings are only because the second season was bad!

What do you guys think would have happened if a female avatar was born in the northern water tribe? would they have trained her?

It's fucking Executive meddling.

We all know that they never liked it, and now they're trying to gut it... or at least prolong it.

Are they ending it? Fuck. Well they never seemed to like it, they hated it really.
Yes, Book 2 was not that good, but it's getting better. Ugh, I thought LoK would get more seasons than A:TLA.
I hate Nickelodeon, that was their only good show, and they screwed that up. Nick is dead to me now, or at least after the last LoK episodes air.
They should've cancelled Spongebob instead.

Well, nick wants to end it and have nothing to do with the Avatar franchise again. However, they must air the finished episodes. In the article I posted, it is implied that they have worked on Book 4.

Which is all Bryan and the guys want to do on Nick. I bet the rest will be digital.

Nick again only wants to keep the yellow pest alive because it can be twisted to fit anyone's needs.
