It's on page 7. Here it is.

There are many wonderful songs, but when comes to lyrics, John Lennon- Imagine.
When it comes to creativity and tune, Queen- Bohemian Rhapsody.

The Best Songs

Postby Pevvania » Sun Nov 11, 2012 8:38 am

OBVIOUSLY, the best songs in the history of the Earth would undoubtably be as followed:
"The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis and the News
"Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley
"Bad" by Michael Jackson
"Take On Me" by A-ha
"Down Under" by Men At Work

Anyone who disagrees with me is a fucking retarded asshole with no life.  :lol2:
Advocates of 'regulated capitalism' are essentially arguing for corporate monopolies, higher unemployment and lower wages.

Yeah, no. And just because I actually put some effort into looking for music beyond the 80s pop charts doesn't make me "a retarded asshole with no life".

Bill haley and the Comets "Rock Around The Clock" Released in 1954, it obviously has been selling strong since then as it reached 25 million and is beat as a single by only two other songs which needed a gimmick. It launched the great guitar solos, new dances, and with that great oldies feel of a simpler time, still sounds awesome.

But lyric wise I'd say Hotel California.

According to VH1 it is Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit as it is the best disco, rap, reggae, rock, pop, blues, classical, R&B, and jazz tune of all time.

But my real favorite is anything by Tori Amos.

Solidarity Forever - lyrics by Ralph Chaplin, ca. 1915
with an extra verse by Steve Suffet from the centennial Little Red Songbook
Tune: John Brown's Body (aka Battle Hymn of the Republic)
First Appearance: Little Red Songbook, 9th Edition, 1916

When the union’s inspiration through the workers blood shall run
There can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun
Yet what force on Earth is weaker than the feeble force of one but
The union makes us strong

Chorus:
Solidarity Forever
Solidarity Forever
Solidarity Forever
For the union makes us strong

Is there aught we hold in common with the greedy parasite
Who would lash us into serfdom and would crush us with his might
Is there anything left to us but to organize and fight? For…
The union makes us strong

(Chorus)

It is we who plowed the prairies, build the cities where they trade
Dug the mines and build the workshops, endless miles of RR laid
Now we stand outcast and starving ‘mid the wonders we have made but
The union makes us strong

(Chorus)

They have taken untold millions that they never toiled to earn
But without our brain and muscle not a single wheel can turn
We can break their haughty power, gain our freedom when we learn that
The union makes us strong

(Chorus)

In our hands is placed a power greater than their hoarded gold
Greater than the might of armies magnified a thousand-fold
We can bring to birth a new world from the ashes of the old for
But the union makes us strong

(Chorus)

They divide us by our color; they divide us by our tongue
They divide us men and women; they divide us old and young
But they'll tremble at our voices, when they hear these verses sung
For the Union makes us strong!

(Chorus)

That's how it goes in my head. The other newish verses have their merit, but don't quite fit the rhythm or have other issues IMHO. Also, it's an easy song to spontaneously make up verses for, so that happens in my head sometimes; I rarely remember an entire verse of the real song anyway.

ETA: Adjust for cultural and subcultural difference in definitions of "best song", etc.

we, unlike the bourgeoisie, have nothing to lose and therefore our expression will be the only honest one, our words will be the only challenging ones and our art will be the one revolutionary expression. We need new noise and new voices and new canvases to become something more than the last poets of a useless generation.
