When I watched Andrei Tarkovski's Solaris for a second time, many years later, I still enjoyed it, but also realized that I'm not meant to understand some things.

I watched part 1 of Rebel Moon yesterday. Easily the worst movie I've seen in the last decade.

I have no doubt that Rebel Moon is up to the usual low Netflix standard, but somehow I have a feeling that it's not as bad as Lost Highway.

I haven't seen Lost Highway, but I can assure you that Rebel Moon has absolutely no redeeming features whatsoever. ChatGPT could have written a better script.

If that's true, Lost Highway might actually be better, because at least that film has a funny-looking Mystery Man.

Also, we're lucky that Zack Snyder didn't get to make a Star Wars film, which is what Rebel Moon was originally supposed to be.

No Exit (2022). I liked it, a small but very good cast, a screenplay that made sense, it didn't rely on jump shocks or gore. Dale Dickey is always so watchable.

Boy Kills World. Maybe some won't be able to stop thinking about Archer, I never thought about Archer. And I dig H Jon Benjamen. They back away from the gimmick at the end to let the story play out so it doesn't get annoying. Strangely the best capture of the graphic novel feel even though it's not based on one.

“As above, So below”, a found footage horror film.

Was good in the first half but fell off HARD in the last 20 minutes. 6/10, Blair witch is peak found footage.

Casbah (1948) a musical, Peter Lorre really the best thing about it.
