We have a few helpful suggestions for you that are good any day of the week!
- Never share your nation or password with another player. Even if they're your BFF.
When you share your nation, you voluntarily incur the risk of losing it to the person with whom you shared it or inheriting the warnings of the nation you received. - To create a safe password use:
- at least 8-16 characters; passwords can be longer
- a mix of upper and lower case alphanumberic characters
- special characters such as punctuation
- a memorable term or phrase
- Before clicking a link to an offsite website, check the URL and know what site you're visiting
- Turn off the "auto-login" option if you're using a public computer or shared device
To turn off "auto-login", visit your nation's Setting Panel, scroll down to "Log in Automatically" and toggle it to "off" - Do not save your nation password on a device or computer you know is shared or public
- Be selective about any browser addons you use; know the source
Remember, the NationStates Moderators and Administrators will never ask for your password ever!
