[Question] Mod Name Changes

So I have been casually browsing through the forums like I normally do and I come across some mod names that have been changed... I thought name changes were not possible and if they are why are the mods getting name changes?

Example: memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=10115 the "mancy" was never there until recently.

The Archregimancy has been called that way for a long time, ever since that nation was founded.

2013 and 2012. IA doesn't go further with these two links, though I am sure you can find older instances of his full nation name on this forum, like here: viewtopic.php?p=37728#p37728 a post in 2009 where his name, including the 'mancy' is quoted.

I can assure you with a very high degree of confidence that this nation's name hasn't changed since its foundation in 2005; so I'm not entirely sure where you've gained the mistaken impression that the nation's name has changed.

Changing a nation name causes all sorts of problems, and can only be done by a game administrator. It is a manual effort, and even then there are still various problems depending on the details of the situation of the nation in the game (delegacy, WA membership, votes cast, etc...). A name change has thus only be done on the rarest of occasions when for instance a nation name is deemed in violation of the Terms of Service, yet the nation predates the Terms of Service itself.

To my knowledge no moderator nation name has ever been altered other than a change in capitalization of the words (which is a lot easier, but still requires a game administrator).
