Good lawd ... I'm feeling rather humbled, folks. I'll try to get everyone answered - please, let me know if I've somehow missed you. A bit overwhelmed with the gracious responses. One thing I'll clear up - I'm called Dread Lady Nathicana because when I started this nation, which was not my first, plain old Nathicana had been taken. And I had an idea for a character-driven RP thing and ... voila. It just fit. Nathicana was the name I went by on my old MUD where I coded and such, played for a damn long time. I simply carried it over here, and the rest, as they say, is history. 'Nathi' has been, and always will be, just fine for usage.



Aksun: I was the definition of 'controversial' if you go back to 2003, being asked to mod, having it rescinded and told there were political reasons, having a right mess result, and on account, being informed I would /never/ be made a moderator. Yeah. It's been an interesting ride. Good luck out there.

And the more I hear from folks, the more it appears it was done rather back-door, without consultation of the team overall. I know I wasn't given the consideration that even moderators who have crossed lines and been asked to step down were given - a thread to talk things out, etc. I was told to 'retire' or I would be retired. And this, after my access was taken away - as if I would somehow do something horrible or the like. It is a bit of an insult, but in the end ... not my site. And I guess that's what it really boils down to.

-Ebola-: Thankies. And yeah, that was always a concern, but they knew what they were getting when they modded me. It isn't as though I magically changed overnight. I am who and what I am, and I don't have a problem with that. The only way in which I changed was surprisingly, to mellow out and be more careful in my wording, due to mod status.
