My thread did not go off-topic. The discussion stayed on the topic of Chuck E. Cheese and particularly it's undeserved reputation among certain segments of the population.
In my OP I brought up some points of discussion such as "As I have recently discovered not everybody likes it however. Some criticize the quality of the games and especially the food. I find such views to be unfounded."
Even in the later pages we still debated and discussed the quality of the food and games. It did not go off-topic to the point of just being a chat, nor was my OP bloggish as it was written in the proper NS style of bringing up debate points and my opinion on an issue.
We also discussed whether or not more people should visit CEC and we debated whether or not the negative views of the restaurant were unfounded or not. Other threads have gone way more off-topic and they don't get locked. My thread stayed on topic and we were still debating the same points from my OP when it was locked.
