You haven't done much that way, the ban is relatively short. Your history is loaded with warnings, that ban may be upgraded to a deletion. Its simply how the system works. It's designed to let you know just how seriously we take the content guidelines - and since it seems you're now well aware, problem solved.

In my case, there was no escalation at all - I was simply banned with no opportunity to stop of my own accord. Which, by the way, I would have done - I posted in good faith that warning of inappropriate content first would be sufficient to prevent rulebreaking, something I was clearly mistaken about (I thought the obscenity listing in OSRS only referred to content in the post itself, but that's another story). Simply rapping me on the nose would have done it, and previous to this I had a spotless record so there was no reason to think it wouldn't.

Not that kind of escalation. An escalation of moderator action. If your history shows that you have been warned for a rule violation in the past, then on the next offense, you are likely to receive a short ban. If in the future, you break a rule, we may respond with the next incremental step; a longer ban. And if some time after that you break a rule, we may delete your nation. We take into account prior history when deciding the appropriate level of moderator response.
