[Question] Can mods see edited Posts

I was wondering if mods could see edited posts?

Why would it matter if we could?

If you're worried about something you've posted, I suppose there's that. If someone has edited a post you felt insulted you or broke rules, and you haven't quoted it already in unedited fashion, I'm afraid that's too bad. Either way, generally egregious rule-breaking posts get quoted and reported here, and we deal with them as necessary. Players that have a habit of baiting or trolling then running back to edit to avoid trouble tend to lose their ability to edit posts. Yes, we do track that sort of thing, and yes we have blocked players from editing before.

Nathi, quick question: People are sometimes hesitant to quote a post due to its content. Is it better if people file a GHR instead, with the text (or offensive image link) pasted therein?

Just post a link to the post to the Moderation forum - especially since you're likely to get a more timely response and it won't get stuck behind game-related issues - or if it's a quote, then edit out the offensive content while leaving the rest of the quote in place.

Spoilers are fine, so long as they're done /here/. Just don't quote it in the original threads. Makes cleanup hard. If it's in a report thread, it makes sense. Can move the offensive bit to the evidence locker, and edit the one out here.
