People have, and continue to call out the actions of groups of people in that manner on NSG all the time. The only difference seems to be whether or not the person doing so is either popular amongst the locals, or is voicing a popular opinion.

I'm not seeing these as quite crossing the line, though edging right up on it.

I will point out, Nathi, he has been and is continuing to say all Marxists are "retards" and "trash", in addition to the whole "Seattleites are idiots". Which, correct me if I'm wrong, is trolling and flaming, as NS has plenty of Marxists, he's saying "all x are y", and he's calling them rude names.

Very well. Last time I heard calling others: "idiots" or "retards" was a clear violation of the rules. I did not realize the level of accepted discourse had changed so much since I used to post more.

OK, I should've made this clear earlier, but I thought it too tangential and self-focused to mention in somebody else's report:
I actually did cast my vote in the last municipal election for Ms. Kshama Sawant, IE the Socialist Alternative candidate for the Seattle City Council. He is directly referring to me as an "idiot" because of who I voted for.
It's ridiculous that I have to go this far to prove that what he's saying is flaming, but even by the (rather bizarrely restrictive) standards you've set here, this still qualifies.
