Why? Of course they were racist, but they were not my words. They were the words of famous people, revered for the other words they spoke. They were the words of medieval islamic scholars, British and American statesmen and arguably the most powerful woman in all of history. The reason I had that sig was to point out that the world was not as black and white, good versus evil, as people here tend to assume.

You've made your own assumptions on that point. And a group of moderators discussed your sig, and decided that it was trolling - regardless. Dismissing it as 'not your own words' is no excuse for gathering a group of quotes with a decidedly trollish tone to them. It was inappropriate to the site rules, and has been removed. Thank you.
