Sounds like you changed the zoom. Ctrl and - zooms out, Ctrl and + in. On my browser Ctrl and 0 resets but not sure if it is the same for all.
If you have a 'view' option in the menu look for 'zoom' in the options.

Ctrl 0 (or cmd 0 for Macs) will work on almost all modern browsers. Certainly the most popular ones.

Question

Postby Roland I » Tue Nov 19, 2013 12:57 pm

Hello,

I am curious, is the cooldown after sending a recruitement telegram proportionnal to the number of recipients?
For example I send a rct TG to 1 nation. I have to wait 15 seconds or so before doing it again. If I send the same TG to 8 nations at the same time, the cooldown seems much extended before being able to send one again.

Yes, it is. I don't know the exact formula, but you are correct in that it is proportional to the number sent.

How do I create a "tag" for my nation?

What is a "tag"? And what would a "tag" do for my nation (outcomes, effects)?

Only regions can have tags. Tags are used by regions to easily show to outsiders what different categories their region falls into, and so that people can easily find regions of similar types.

Odd. Did you disable BBcode?

There's a little checkbox below your post when you edit it, in a box entitled "options". It says "Disable BBCode" check to ensure that that is not checked.

In the side-bar to the left it keeps saying that I have one new telegram when I really don't. My telegram inbox is completely clear but it won't go away for some reason. It isn't the end of the world, of course, but it still annoys me to no end.

Check out this thread and try what it says there. Hopefully that helps ...

CTRL-F5? Cause you don't have any telegrams at all, and the system also says on our end that you have no unread telegrams. So that "(1)" shouldn't be there, best as I can determine it. So, I'm thinking you might be looking at a cached page.

Has anyone ever asked if there should be an issue reset button?

(Because just in case, after a while, someone might want a do over.)

Is it possible to have multiple spoilers on the same line aligned to the centre? I know it's possible to the left and to the right.

Yes, multiple times. The whole point of the game is to learn by making choices, most of which are bad. This would entirely negate the purpose of the game. So no, not going to happen.

Would be nice, but no. Make do with [floatleft] and [floatright].

Is there a way to turn off smileys? I keep getting the sunglasses smiley when I put eight next to a bracket coincidentally. It's made serious troop lists look stupid before.

When you post, under the text box, you have a couple of checkbox options:

  • Disable BBCode
  • Disable smilies
  • Do not automatically parse URLs
  • Attach a signature (signatures can be altered via the UCP)
  • Notify me when a reply is posted
Check the box for that one that I've highlighted with red text. There may also be a similar box in your settings, but if you only want to disable them for particular posts, that's the route to take.

Find an image host like Imgur, Tinypic, or Photobucket.

Upload the image there, then once you're done, copy the images url (most of the sites will have it listed, but if not, just right click - "Copy image location/url")

Then place it between image tags in your factbook like so:

Code: Select all
