Everytime I click on the logout button in the corner, it just tells me that I wasn't logged out, and then automatically brings me right back here. Can this be fixed?

EDIT: It looks like it only happens when I try to logout while in the forums.

MODEDIT: Renamed thread from "Inability to log out," to avoid confusing people who are trying to figure out where the game LOGOUT button has gone.

I've heard of this problem, but I thought it went away once you logout successfully using the workaround below using the sidebar (or new top-right buttons, if you're using the Century theme). Does it keep coming back for your nation?

Workaround: Click the top banner graphic to go to the game home page, click the top-right Logout button.

Edit: Updated post to make sense since we changed the default theme.

I have the same problem. Clicking the logout button on the top right gives me the exact same error, "You were not logged out, as the request did not match your session. Please contact the board administrator if you continue to experience problems." And it does keep coming back.

I'm currently using the century theme, so, there is no logout button in the sidebar, only one in the top-right. I'll try it again now to see if it is still happening.

It only happens when I press switch without entering a password and username, and switches me back to my main nation. Try logout. If it fails, try switch. If not, switch to a different theme. Yes, I am using the default theme (not the future one, the current one), so try that, see if it happens.

Here's what happened to me:

I hit logout on the forum, got the error message, and it switched me to the nation that was set to auto-login. I got this with Chrome on Windows 7.

People reporting this, please tell me if it just happened one time, or if the problem has reoccurred even following a successful logout.

Long story short, it's an error that comes with the new default skin (Century).

You can try clearing your NationStates cookies but I'm not sure if that would fix it.

I think you can. You just can't logout while in the forums it is looking like while using this skin. Have you tried logging out from your nation's homepage?

Also, To the above poster, I just deleted all board cookies. It logs me out when I so, but then when I log back in and try to logout from the forums, the same thing happens before I deleted the board cookies.

Suspect this is only occurring in nations with autologin activated.

Really it works to go to anything that's gameside, be it your homepage, region, news, issues, etc. Also does this mean we won't have to deal with being automatically logged out of the forums if we go for too long without clicking around? I found that annoying and useless.
