Old issues later, state coffer and national accounts

Hello all. I used NationStates by some months, and I must premise it's a beautiful game.

Anyway IMO it's a bit annoying after some time, because issues you have already done can be re-proposed. I don't say they must not be re-proposed ever, but priority should be give to new issues. If all issues are done the old ones can be re-proposed.

Another big problem is taxes. You can approve laws that requires funds without cutting anything other, even if you tax rate is 100%! Furthermore I suspect you can choose to cut funds to sector with 0 money. If the rise of taxes will be above 100%, the issue should cut the more expensive sector(s), and this should be written in the issue. Obviously the sector must considered "bad" by the law proposer.

Lastly, I experienced a lack of info about the states. If you have a nation with less than 2 billions of people, it's not much revealing knowing you are 6,000th or 10,000th in some sector. Real nations have national accounts, that can be of some sense (like ISEW) or no useful at all (GDP :D). The introduction of these accounts can be also triggered by issues, and the precision of info should depend by politicaly freedom (dictators don't let you know the state is going bad).

My cents.

I think income tax at 100% should be changed to say something like "All resources are completely socialized" or "Wealth is completely redistributed" or "Every citizen is paid equally for every job."

It isn't hard to do that. I know the programming isn't just based on numbers because there are lots of nations where the sentence is "Income tax is unheard of." I just don't like it. It's not as if my people get paid and the government takes all of it, it is just that I have a purely socialist (communist) nation where everyone is given everything by the state equally.

Well, you are saying not all tax incomes are used for people. An alternative to cut some sector should be raising efficiency (I.e. lower corruption ;)). Or add 'Buy Coca Cola' to the blazer of ministers.

IF "tax" < 1 THEN print "income tax is unheard of"

Well, I think this is simple to implement. You can do something like this:

2-5: the state is considered a tax heaven
6-10: tax rate is ridiculous
11-25: people confuses taxes with VAT
26-49: tax rate is moderate
50-74: tax rate is very high
75-89: multinationals avoid your state like the plague
90-95: tax rate is gargantuan
96-99: "profit" is considered an archaism
100: govern is thinking about taking blood too

Anyway, my ideas were others ;)
