[Hotmail] No WA invite

Postby Gugmuwon » Sun May 01, 2016 1:07 pm

Hi,

For the past 30+ minutes I've been trying and failing to get a WA invitation.
So far I've tried:
Reloading my email multiple times,
Checking the spam folder multiple times,
Adding the email address which sends the invitation as a contact,
I have also made sure I have my inbox set to "View: all".
Please could I get some assistance resolving this issue? I'm unsure if it's a NS issue or one on my end.

Thanks.

EDIT: I'm a bit hesitant to disable NS++ as it would be quite a pain to re add all the puppets again.

What email provider do you use?

Have you made sure you put the right email address in the email field?
INTP, -4.25 Economic Left/Right, -4.1 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian, tastes like chicken.
I do use NS stats, thank you very much.

Yes, it was working perfectly before, but it just suddenly stopped.

I don't know which browser you use but on Firefox I can disable it without losing my puppets.

Hotmail is currently delaying and bouncing many emails from us. You may find they arrive a few hours late. It's also worth checking your Spam folder. If neither works, you need to use a different email provider.

Hotmail is the worst email provider I've ever had to deal with, even worse than AOL in their heydey. They use a third-party anti-spam service and every time a message won't get through, they say to talk to the anti-spam provider and the anti-spam provider says to ask Hotmail. When Hotmail agree to stop bouncing emails, they say it will take two weeks to take effect, and then usually it takes longer, and they don't know why.

Thanks for your response, will take your advice and move to a new email. :)

Here's a tip: I've made a separate, throwaway Gmail account for all of my WA invites, forum confirmation messages, etc. It's really good for keeping annoying forum confirmation messages away.

By this, do you mean Topic Update Notification emails? If so, how did you wind up receiving ones you didn't want? The only way to receive them should be to manually subscribe to them on topic-by-topic basis.

Also FYI they are currently disabled.

No, by that I mean offsite verification messages from ZetaBoards and such.
