[Question] "Online" Band for Mods?

[Question] "Online" Band for Mods?

I've noticed that Mod posts never have the "Online" band next to their flag. Is that a mod-specific thing or do I coincidentally happen to log on every time a mod logs off?

Mods have access to the "don't show up as online" widget. Several, but not all of us use it. I affectionately refer to it as Stealth Mode. :P

Mods can choose to cloak themselves while online.

iirc a couple keep their online banners, but most cloak themselves.

It's not really called that (I hope). It's most likely to sneak up on rule breakers or something like that without them even noticing a mod is around

Mostly so we don't get bombarded with TGs and stuff from players when we're online. We don't handle official modstuff via telegram, after all, and sometimes want some peace and quiet when we're just browsing or otherwise not on duty doing modstuff. ;)

Similar to what I said, to sneak up on rule breakers, but Reploid already explained its main purpose so yeah that's what it's for

Issues Editors also have the stealth mode. Mostly to avoid TGs.

You can still send a TG and they MAY (almost said will) respond to it. I always assume there's a mod around.

None of the Admin (to my knowledge) use the stealth. So either Mods or Issues Editors.
