Those actually aren't bugs so much as they are attempts by Blaat to really badly break things. :P

Still though, we were literally just talking in modchat about splitting the RO discussion into a bug reporting thread for the immediate bugs, and the ongoing discussion about long-term adjustments and implementation.

Better me breaking it with nasty but fairly harmless stuff (but potentially yikes) now, than someone else figuring it out later when we're not watching. I immediately reported my findings with the other mods and admins, just so that they knew that I was not being evil :)

http://www.nationstates.net/region=snazzy

It says '+1 more' but it should be '+3 more'.

Edit: I think it is because there are 10 officers, but it lists 7 on the page + founder + delegate, so that totals 9. 10 - 9 = 1, and then the code forgets that the founder/delegate were added

http://www.nationstates.net/page=region ... azzy#polls does not link to the polls section. The <h#> element is <h2> instead of <h3> and the id is "borders" instead of "polls". The border control does not have an id, nor does the officers part.

On http://www.nationstates.net/page=region ... ion=snazzy There is on line 144 a stray </a> tag

Code: Select all
<a href="/page=region_control/region=snazzy#communications"><i class="icon-mic"></i> Communications</a> <h3><i class="icon-award-1"></i> Officers</a></h3>

I was asked to split out the bugs. These 2 are all in the same page and has to do with HTML tags there, the first is different.

To clarify on this issue raised in the main thread, we've done some testing with a non-WA nation with enough influence to change the region's password and the problem appears to be exclusive to this nation, Gallade.

When attempting to change the region's password/eject a nation I get the following message (phone lacks ability to screengrab, apologies):

"You have been ejected from the World Assembly. Although you retain Delegate status until the next administrative update, you cannot make changes to your region."

The password then remains unchanged/nation isn't ejected from the region.

Working from an Android device, problem occurs in both Chrome and Firefox if it's a mobile issue. If this has something to do with the WA, this nation has a WA ban from 2010ish.

Hope any of this helps!

When I open this box under "New Embassy":

In order to establish embassies, both regions must agree. To request an embassy exchange, visit the other region's Administration page and use the Request Embassy Exchange button.

Embassies may be closed at any time by a Founder or Delegate of either region. Embassies are recorded in the region's permanent history.

To visit a region's Administration page, enter its name here:

[_________________] Visit Admin Page

When I enter the region's name and hit enter on my keyboard, it does not take me to the admin page of that reason. Instead, hitting enter almost caused me to withdraw an embassy (good thing for the pop-up box). In other words, hitting enter after typing a region into that box is not acting like I clicked the "Visit Admin Page" button. I'm on Firefox 41.0.1 on Windows 8.

Also, super-minor style point: on the drop-box under "Recruiter: Who may send recruitment telegrams for 10000 Islands?," "No-one" should have a space, not a hyphen.

Breaking Stuff

Founder is non-executive. I have Delegate seat on improving Wordiness so have executive rights. I cannot ban / eject nations unless I designate this nation with Border Control. Same goes for polls, communication, appearance, embassies. I can give this nation those powers but acting as executive does not automatically include those. It may be that was done on purpose?
In a region with non-executive founder I would expect the Delegate elect to have same powers as executive founder though.

When I want to move a new officer at the bottom of the order up a spot, on the first click I get the "Promoted {nation} ({title}) up the display order" message at the top of the screen, but the nation is still on the bottom. On the second click, I get the message again, and this time they move up a spot.

EDIT: This only seems to happen with a newly created officer. If I click on another officer at the bottom, they do ascend a spot the first time I click on it.

In the drop down box when I want to add a new officer, I see nations that are no longer in my region listed. If I try to select one of them, I get a "must be present in the region to be appointed an officer" error. Either they should be allowed to be officers when not present, or they should not be in the drop down box, one or the other.

Out of curiosity, have those nations been out of the region over a major update? Just wondering since it seems like that is the sort of thing that would update daily as to keep the servers from constantly having to refresh the nation list for each region.

Yes (at the time -- out of region for a few days but back in region now).

I'm in charge of polls over at TRR. We've been holding a series of polls over the last few weeks that last 1 day each. I was just made an RO about 2 hours ago. I tried to publish a poll for a duration of 1 day but got an error message that said "You haven't held office long enough to publish a flash poll. Please choose a longer duration." I'm not sure if that was intended so I'm reporting it anyways. :P

EDIT: After further screwing around it seems I can't publish a poll that is less than 3 days long.

Same bug, different result. When I hit enter while the cursor's in that box, the page refreshes, and I get a message at the top that says:
"Promoted {second nation on list not counting founder/WA} up the display order." (to first nation on list not counting founder/WA)

Again, I'm founder, WA vacant.

Same as this, not able to create a poll less than 3 days long. Only real difference is that it's in Nihonto instead of TRR.

Aesthetic thing:

If you load the regional admin page of a founderless region, you get the option to "Show ex-nation" If you click it, it shows the nation. The text for "Show ex-nation" remains the same, but clicking it hides the nation once again. I'm not sure if that can be fixed, but it can be seen here:

I believe that's the intended effect. When I was unintentionally made delegate for Yggdrasil for 12 hours, I didn't hold office long enough to hold a flash poll as well. I would suspect that the same duration is required for a Polls Officer to have held office to get the rights to hold a flash Polls as with normal Delegates.
