WARNING: Do not use even forces. It will crash the program.
TAKE NOTE:
For those who think NSBS is still being actively worked on; to sum it up, it isn't. The original developer is no where in sight and I have detached myself from NSBS. This is Sad-States speaking and I am going on the official record that I have absolutely have any ideas on releasing any updates or maintaining NationStates Battle Simulator due to the happenings in the region of Audax in January of 2018 when the region of Auratus which was led by the at-the-time Delegate of Audax, Aglrinia while he went rogue and purged Audax.
In light of this, I realized that the main developer chose Auratus over Audax and in accord of the Traitors Accord and the Audax Codex, any traitors to the region of Audax of any government shall never be permitted to rejoin the region unless a autonomous vote was reached through the current legitimate government. This law was introduced first seen in use by one of my communities/regions Audaxia the Key Keeper Act after the first purge when I founded Audaxia as a temporary refugee region and it became our home for a good amount of time, and made it through most of Aglrinia's set ups to get the region in drama. The Key Keeper Act was pretty much refurbished under the pretext government of the Audax Order; which was the Dominion of Audax (the first stage of the incarnation of the Audax Order/Bold Order). With that all being disclosed, I am not stating NSBS is forever dead. It could be back tomorrow, next week or in a decade. However, I can assure you that I won't be the one starting the motions for it. If NSBS returns, it's on Articalla; not me.
As most of you already fully well know the fact that I have been working on a online-based battle simulator that was originally intended to be the online-version of the original NSBS Java program. So yes, my program was first known and openly called NSBS: Online for a good dang bit of time. However, in light of my resignation of NSBS and for the reasons I explained above; I will remain true to the NSBS userbase and continue to work on this project under a new, unique project name NSABS: Online instead. Find out more about NSABS: Online on our discord server: https://discord.gg/cy5UQwY
::Disclaimer::
(Once NSABS: Online is released, any mention of this project will be removed from the official NSBS post. Also take note that NSABS: Online is still a debatable project name and a different name may be chosen in the future to better suit the AudaxTec team. If this route of action is taken all of our users will be informed ahead of time via our Discord.)
Good day everyone and I give my final best of luck to the NSBS Project and hope it's original developer can bring it back alive in the future.
The High Elder of the Audax Order has stated that the region of Audax no longer supports or is attempting to maintain NationStates BattleSimulator.
FAQ
What is NSBS and what it does?
NationStates Battle Simulator is intended to be used as a role playing supplement and Battle Simulator for the site of Nation States. It's designed to take input from the user of different factors of a battle: Force Count, Morale, Technology Age, Training, Combat Experience, Logistics, and Intel. It uses those factors to simulate the outcome of a skirmish to be roleplayed out afterwards. This allows for constructive roleplay, as the outcome of the battle isn't decided by story arc alone.
How do I download it?
Click the button that says "Download" or click this to automatically download it.
I found a bug, what do I do?
If you have found a bug, post it here and Articalla will get back to you sooner or later.
It says the file can harm my computer? Is it a virus?
No, it isn't a virus. It's a .jar file, which is executive. Meaning, regardless it's going to have that message appear. If you are interested in looking at the code just in case, here's the Repository.
Does it uses my nation's stats?
Currently, it does not use Nationstate's stats. The sole reason for this is that Nationstates is a political simulator, not a military simulator.
How do I run it?
Once you have downloaded it, you must have Java downloaded. If you do not, then please go to this site and download Java. Once that is done, then right click on the .Jar file and hover over 'Open with' then click 'Java(TM) Platform SE Binary'. The program should begin to run.
