Does my nation improves over time automatically?

If I don't log in for a long period of time (within 28 days), including doesn't respond to issues, will my nation stats improve?

Or I must respond to issues to update the nation stats?

Or I must log in regularly?
I speak UK English, and my level is mediocre so I may need your guidance (if any).

Nation stats are changed by answering issues and the passage of WA resolutions (if you are a WA member).

The only exception to this is population. Population increases every day your nation continues to exist regardless of what you do.

and your stats are kept the same if your nation dies of inactivity and you come back using the same nation name and password

For what it's worth, I still gain and lose trophies despite not being in the WA or answering issues. That's because trophies are a relative measure and are affected by the actions of other nations. So, if I'm on the cusp of the top 10% and some of the other leaders cease to exist, I get "promoted" into the top 10%. My stats haven't improved, just my relative position.

Since population increases, wouldn't total GDP increase too? :)

So this game takes time, I'll never climb up to be featured in The World if everyone keep playing remaining their position? Only the early ones can?

The Featured REGION is selected randomly. All those who qualify (like no regional password, not a class region) have equal chance.

The WA Rankings lists individual nations. How easy it is to get to #1 actually varies per ranking. For some of them it is possible to shoot to the highest rankings from the very start of your nation, if you know what you're doing or through random fortune pick the 'right' options. Other rankings require building up ones statistics over time. There older nations have an advantage by simply having started earlier. This also has given them more time to fail miserably, but there's always a number of them who have managed to avoid making mistakes. In those categories getting to be #1 in the world isn't likely to happen for a long time. Tough and experienced competition tends to make life more difficult.

Well, think of what your nation is unique at. I've been playing this game for two years, and I have about 20 World Census badges. If you continue playing the game, good things will happen. I've found that the established nations are often the high-ranking ones in the world, but don't worry. Your time will come.
