I Tried to publish a Factbook writing But it said something about Security Check failing so i couldn't publish it

Log out, log in. Make sure you don't have any puppet accounts open. If that doesn't work, you'll need to clear your cache. Then log in again.

The Factbook isn't designed to be kept open for a couple of hours at a time. The techies believe (misguidedly) that people will not spend up to three hours working on a single factbook entry and therefore advise people to edit their factbooks on their own computers via notepad/gedit and then upload. It's likely that one of these two will be the problem.

No, the techies set a reasonable Session ID that times out in a couple of hours, assuming that anyone who hadn't clicked a single link in that time was probably not using their computer. Banks and other secure sites have that setting at 5-15 minutes. 2 hours is plenty of time for a web game.

Also, factbooks are not a word processor and don't do incremental saves. If it's important to you, you should be working somewhere that saves your work occasionally.
