Banner: Some kind of futuristic-looking infantryman. Possibly fiddling with an even more advanced computer-thingy.

Banner Title: Fire on the High Seas
Unlock: Prioritize the Navy in your defense budget on the relevant issue.
Banner: A jet being launched from an aircraft carrier.

Banner Title: Air Raid
Unlock: Prioritize the Air Force in your defense budget on the relevant issue.
Banner: An AC-130 Spectre deploying it's flares OR a pair of F-22 Raptors/similarly advanced fighters.

Banner Title: Rolling Thunder
Unlock: Prioritize the Army in your defense budget on the relevant issue.
Banner: A large tank company rolling through the desert.

Some of us are against anything that rewards shitposting or spamming. I'd be very much against your first two. As for mod banners, we've all got custom banners. If we want something, we'll post it.

Mmm. you could set the limits so that they're hard to get by shitposting; maybe put a limit on the banners of a year or something. I dunno, I'd just like to see a bit of forum recognition in the gameplay's more fluffy aspects.

You mean how mostly everyone does? I really don't see the point. The others, to varying degrees, are useful as bragging rights. This seems as pointless as the badge Wiki.answers.com give out for signing up. That's all. You make a profile, and get a badge for making a profile. It's pointless, in my opinion, as this banner would be.

Actually, the nations with forum accounts with more than zero posts probably count for less than 10% of all nations. Virtually none of the vast number of gameplay puppets never visit the forums, and there are quite a few regular players (including class nations) who never visit the forums. There's actually a gameside field that could identify players who have at least clicked on the forums. Getting a postcount (even >zero) would take more effort.

It's pointless, in my opinion, as this banner would be.

Too easy to puppet-inflate. Like Blaat's comment on region tags, it would tend to wreck the effect.

That's not possible. The system prevents you from using multiple accounts to upvote your own dispatches.
