Would a notification for one of your dispatches being pinned in a WFE be a possibility? Also a "subscribe to author" for notifications on more dispatches that a nation posts would be pretty nifty. :p

My region name and the Y in "World Assembly" run out past the left sidebar and as a result are cut off in forum mode, as is the news button. This does not happen with my main nation, Gregoryisgodistan, nor in any of my puppets in Esportiva, but happens with all my puppets in the region Gregoryisgodistan Overseas Slave Islands. It may have something to do with the length of the name.

Quite possibly already mentioned, but there are 62 pages. :( Rift doesn't seem optimal with liberal or conservative themes, it's a bit blocky at the top.

That happens the same with me.

Also the exit theme button doesn't work, unless it means something different then I think it does

I've noticed a weird little glitch with Rift. Nothing site-breaking, but still sort of annoying.

Whenever I hover over one of the menus on the sidebar, the entire thing has a fit. By 'fit', I mean that either...:

  • the text flickers horribly
  • various menus turn completely black
  • entire menus flicker horribly
  • weird, large white and\or black fragments appear and jump around all over the page

Sometimes only one of those things will happen, sometimes all of them will. In addition, when I scroll down, it seems like it's trying to 'pull' whatever is immediately above it down with it, but whatever it 'pulls' quickly vanishes. It's more noticeable when scrolling upwards, as it tries to tug the entire sidebar and the "NationStates" banner at the very top of the page along with.

I'm pretty sure it's an issue on my end, since I recently reinstalled Windows 8.1 and not everything seems to be where it should be (plus I've noticed some much smaller, but still present, bugs with a few other websites), but I wanted to bring it up here just in case.

EDIT:: Changing to Century then back to Rift seems to have fixed the 'pulling' issue, but the menu still has episodes.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask or if anyone has a concrete answer for me, but what determines whether or not a nation is "strange" enough to gain the "Not Sure What's Happening Here" banner. Why is my nation strange?

Strange is usually defined as "abnormal". If we take that to its logical conclusion it likely means that the techies have created a bell curve of where the "majority" of people" are and since you're pretty much outside that, you've been awarded the banner. This isn't about how extreme your nation is though although I would expect an extreme nation to be more likely of getting the "strange" banner than a none extreme nation.

There's a measurement for "averageness" as well as for "radicality". My impression is that they would fill that role, not this.

Asking again - I don't think I ever got a response the first time.

Is it possible to link to the "Your Bookmarks" page of the forums from the gameside sub-tab that you get when you hover over the forum tab? Or even replace the "Your Posts" with "Your Bookmarks"?

I personally find Your Posts more useful, so maybe not replace...

How many people actually use that function?

Why did you reply to a post that's almost four months old with something that's well known?

When using anchors such as the anchor for my factbook, the page links to the position, but places the window under the header in the theme.

There should be a function, where you can remove old threads from the "view your posts" section. would be useful to trim it down to only the recent stuff you care about.

Or, perhaps, a separate page where you can add threads you want to track.

Guys, forum and gameside don't talk to each other very well, so forum suggestions in a Rift (gameside theme) thread are pointless.

So far as making forum suggestions go, I expect that any forum changes will wait until we've managed to upgrade the forums to the latest version of phpBB. However, since that's an extensive process, that might be awhile. Doesn't mean you can't start a new thread with "Forum Improvements I'd Like to See" but .... don't hold your breath on them being implemented anytime soon.
