HTTPS blocked?

So for the past week i've been using https instead of http. Anyway this morning I awoke to find that https was according to NS, a proxy. 0_0. Is this because of my IP or something or are you blocking it for a reason

Determination of proxy is done based on IP. It has nothing to do with using http vs https. What is your actual problem? We don't block proxy's, although we do block TOR.

Determination of proxy is done based on IP. It has nothing to do with using http vs https. What is your actual problem? We don't block proxy's, although we do block TOR.

Pardon me for not expression myself clearly about our banning of proxies. We do ban IPs when we need to, like when they are being used to spam us. This is regardless of whether or not that IP is a proxy.

So I did not mean to say we never ban proxies (we do ban some), I meant to say that we do not have a site policy to ban all proxies just because they're proxies. Some users have valid reasons to use a proxy, and it's a shame their use of NS may be hampered by people abusing proxies to do nefarious things, like spamming NS.

Ravenflight, using something like Hidemyass IS using a proxy. And as I explained, while we do not block all proxies as a policy, we do block some (temporarily or permanently) when they are being abused by people who use them to spam or other rulebreaking activity. This ruins the use of proxies for others who try to use them for legitimate rule-abiding behavior.

I am currently using hideme.be. I would tell you my IP if that helps but it isn't completely safe.

You're using a proxy. When you use a proxy you run the risk of encountering an ip which we have already banned. If you're going to continue to use proxies then this is what will happen.

Sir I only use a proxy when I am blocked. I am using no proxy unless I have to.
